morninghill
Staying two nights at Glacier View, would like to boondock additional nights along the river. Permitted? Best options? Traveling in 40' motorhome, minimal boondocking experience. thanks
SWharton
Days End has quite a few, not sure if by the river or not.
2gypsies
Note that Days End is for members only. OP: Here's a great national forest service campground site that we used all the time with our 40' MH. In Stanley we stayed at Sunny Gulch campground - very nice. There are campground all along the river from Stanley to Salmon. There are also BLM areas and fishing access spots you can stay. Enjoy! It's a favorite area of ours.... and good fishing! https://www.forestcamping.com/dow/intermtn/saw.htm Full-timed for 16 YearsTraveled 8 yr in a 2004 Newmar Dutch Star 40' Motorhome and 8 yr in a 33' Travel Supreme 5th Wheel
tyates007
If you head west out of Stanley toward Grand Jean there is a really nice little forest campground called Lola Creek. You may be to long but I was there a few years ago with a 30' travel trailer and was able to get in. That is a beautiful area
