chief916
So I'm not up to snuff on A/C systems but I know I don't get a lot of air out of my vents. My question is: Does a 1997 Volvo WIA 64 have a cabin filter and if so how can it be accessed? Could this be blocking my air. thank you.
oldride
On my 1998 VNL the cab filter is located passenger side under the hood near top of firewall. 2011 CAN-AM Spyder Rt SE5, 2010 Alpine 5th wheel, 1998 Vovlo VNL610 Hopefully 2 years 6 month till full time retirement. Alie&Jim's Carrilite
Google the part numbers from these available filters. Sometimes you get lucky and Google will tell you what year range the part was used. https://class8truckparts.com/volvo-truck-parts/ac-and-heating-system/cabin-air-filters.html Jim's Adventures Old Spacecraft.... chief916
OK...thank you. Went and checked my truck out but could find no cabin filter...Soooo I pulled the a/c coil cover off and what a mess. Dirt and dust everywhere. Sprayed the coils with coil cleaner and flushed everything out...3 times. Buttoned every thing back up and the fan blows much better now. we will see what happens come the first hot spell next month.
