Barbaraok
I wouldn't call Austin/Hills area East Tyler. That's Central TX to me. East Texas is piney woods country. Kirk W
I wouldn't call Austin/Hills area East Tyler. That's Central TX to me. East Texas is piney woods country. East of US 77 or I-45 I would also and we now home-base in east TX, more than 100 miles to the east of Austin and still nearly that to the eastern state border, But I do agree with Grawe that east TX is a great place to settle with the miles of pine forests and moderate weather. Heavymetal
I like the Hondo area you have a decent little hospital with San Antonio 35 min always. You have the plains south of 90 and hill country to the north it's clean And friendly if you are retired military SA has a lot of bases around. I would prefer Presidio but no medical there. 2016 Western Star 5700xe (Pathfinder) DD15 555hp w/12 speed automatic 3:05 diffs 2005 Newmar Mountain Aire 38RLPK 2 Great Danes
