Stan Wright Posted October 12, 2016 Report Posted October 12, 2016 My truck has a battery cut-off switch. It also has a spaghetti mess of several circuits connected directly to the battery. I'm thinking of using a weatherproof fuse block to neaten up the wiring, and connecting it after the cut-off switch. Is there anything that HAS to be connected directly to the battery all the time? I have a Cummins/Freedomline combination.
jeffw Posted October 12, 2016 Report Posted October 12, 2016 I know on the other automated transmissions they want the transmission controller wired directly to the battery. Might want to check your manual. 2007 Volvo 780 Volvo D12D, 465hp, 1650 ft/lbs tq., ultrashift
MrSeas Posted October 12, 2016 Report Posted October 12, 2016 Probably a good idea to verify each of the "spaghetti" lines to see what they power and make a more "educated" decision on your next step.

Agreed. Some of the circuits look factory and some looked added on. One goes to the refrigerator. I'd like to label each circuit, but I just got the truck last week and haven't had a lot of time to mess with it.
