Bruce H
Hi all, Looking into buying the double sided 7' folding stik ladder from Camping world Has anyone owned one? Are they pretty sturdy? Thanks
chindog
I'm pretty happy with mine. It's a lot stronger than I thought it would be for a ladder that folds to 4" square. I weigh about 185, and it holds me just fine. I've been using mine for about a year and a half. weaverworks
I just sold mine this summer. After having several friends fall off various ladders recently (getting old isn't for pansies) I decided to get rid of the shaky thing before I took a dive. I am now looking at one of the telescoping ladders to replace the step ladder. To be honest, every time I used the folding step ladder I felt like I was going to fall. I had it for 6 years without a mishap but just felt unsafe. It's a bit large when folded up, but will reach 10' and still have 4 points on the ground. It's 20' extended completely. This morning I cannot remember the names of either my ladder or the more expensive one that is shown at many of the RV events and of course at the Iowa State Fair. I keep thinking about purchasing one but don't want to have to carry it out. My cousin got one and I used it recently .It's much better than mine, once you figure out how it works. Yarome
I've had one for about 4 years. For a lightweight ladder (~ 25lbs) it's not too bad. I believe it's rated for 225lbs. I carry it in a 5" PVC fence post mounted to the underside of my rig which is very convenient. The steps are quite narrow and the top step measures in @ 6-1/2' so it's not very suitable for getting onto the roof, but for what it is... I've been pleased with it. budeneighe
I have had an Extendastep telescoping ladder for 3 years. Works well for a quick ladder. A bit bouncy for my tastes when fully extended but I weigh about 300lbs. http://extendastep.com/ If I had my druthers, though, I would get a LIttle Giant Revolution ladder https://www.littlegiantladder.com/best-sellers/ I have a LG classic I bought in 1999 and my son took it over about 2007 to work construction. It is still going strong with daily use by him. Any ladder that is going to be used for more than just going up and down, needs a standing platform, a high top safety grab bar and a reasonably flexible leveling system because where you really will need it rving, is where it is not level... ever. Costco does carry several of the Little Giant ladders for a decent price but watch for sales. http://www.costco.com/CatalogSearch?sortBy=PriceMax%7C1&keyword=little+giant RVBuddys Journal Our progress into full-timing.Budd & Merrily ===-> SKP# 088936 Other Websites:---> Hub of all my blogsClifford - 2000 VNL64T770 :: DakotR - 1999 C40KS King of the Road :: $PRITE - 2013 Smart Passion w/cruise

Did see them in Costco yesterday. It's a different folded up size than mine, which is rather tall when folded. Didn't grab it to see how heavy. I think the price was $185 which is quite a bit more than I paid for my Werner I think.
