Brake Lights Stay On

Welcome to the Escapee forums. We are here to help so will do our very best to find an answer.

It would seem that the 12v supply from the motorhome is connected to the brake light lead of the car, in some way. While it may be incorrect wiring of the plug, if your car don't have the isolation diodes installed or installed properly that also could be the cause.

Is this a problem that just began to happen with a car & motorhome which have been mated previously with everything working properly, or was the car just recently wired?

You may have a blocking diode that has failed(shorted). About the only way to trouble shoot it would be to get your meter and trace the voltage to and from the source. If you look at the box, sometimes you can see a defective diode from discoloration, but you need a meter to prove it.
