alan0043
Hi Everyone, A friend of mind ask me a question about the seat belt chime and reminder on his 2012 VNL 630. I had no answer for him. So I thought I would ask the group. Does anyone have an idea of where to look. The problem is that the seat belt chime keeps going and the icon on the dash also keeps flashing even though the seat belt is clicked in. I almost think the problem is in the area where the seat belt clicks to the female part of the seat belt. He told me that the chime just keeps going on no matter how long you go down the road. Does anyone have an idea of where to look ? Anyone else have this problem ? I know you could pull the fuse out, but that will not solve the problem. I think that the chime might be used for other problems that you could have. That is the reason for not wanting to pull out the fuse. I'mdonewiththis forum
I would look at the drivers' seat belt. Look for a broken wire, corroded connection, etc. Can you unplug the female side and put a jumper in the plug to see if it stops?
bmzero
You can also turn that off by reprogramming with the Volvo Tech Tool. I turned mine off the last time I was in there.
