SWharton
Our door shade has ceased to function, we have repaired it several times with some success but each time a little less. Where do I find these shades? Did several searches with no success. Last resort would be HD or Lowes but not sure they would have a shaded that would work(hooks on the bottom) without a mod. Would like an easier approach..
Ranger Smith
If this is on a winnebago all you need to do is remove the shade and on the pin on the left side spray a little WD-40 on it. Give it a few pulls to work it in and it will be just like new.
SWharton
We did that several iterations ago and that fix has stopped working...........Just fed up with the piece of junk and want to get a better shade if it exists............... Pat & Pete
Why noy take the shade you want replaced to Lowes and see if they can accommodate you ? I would think a regular roller shade would do nicely . Cut to length , of course .
wildmandmc
probably try a fabric store, just bring in old one. in ole days if shade broke took it they cut it to size an done.
SWharton
DH wants a similar shade, under tension when down and it hooks down. We don't want the basic roller shade and all the problems with them(at least in our limited experience). We will keep looking. Don't know what the solution will be but it sure isn't what we have. We would look into the pleated ones but the strings break after a while. Maybe a blind if we could get it small enough. Guess we will tackle this when we are off the road. Kirk W
The trouble with most type of blind or shade for RV doors is that the screen door is in the way to be able to operate any of them when closed. Our 1987 Allegro had a window blind on a roller that was at the top of the door and under a valance that then could be pulled down for privacy on the inside of the entire doorway. In many ways that was the must useful door blind that we have had.
SWharton
This shade is on the screen door rather than the regular door, to add to the problems. All our previous trailers had an opaque glass in the door so there was no real problem. The MH has clear glass, we may just end up having that changed to an opaque glass, maybe one of those stained glass inserts.

Pam liked it and that made me happy. It was one that gave the window a frosted look but there are many others. We had a stain glass one for a while but I really didn't like the different colors of light from it when the sun was on the door.

Kirk W
I believe that we got ours from Lowe's as I know that they have them in stock in most stores. Probably Home Depot would also.
