rhianna
A while ago I read a string about Adblock Plus to help save data usage. I downloaded the program and it worked beautifully! My DH tried to download the program and it would not work. Does anyone know what may be the problem?
wildmandmc
Did it install, also depending on what antivirus you are using, that could block it or windows itself could block it. control panel, windows firewall, then click allow programs thru windows firewall, select adblocker, click apply/ok then try to open it. TheDuke
Copy it to a thrumb drive on the working computer and install from there. This wont help with the problem, though.
docj
If you're using Chrome, for example, you don't download anything. You go to Settings/Extensions/Add extension. You then search for the extension you want to add and click on it. I think the procedure for Firefox is roughly the same.
skp51443
Did you do the setup and install filter lists or are you manually adding filters?
rhianna
Well, I tried the firewall process and couldn't find Adblock even in the list of programs (they call them apps). Don't have any filters that have been installed by us. Will try to download and save then install and see what happens then. Internet not real good here in Quartzsite this year. wildmandmc
then disable your antivirus program for 1 hr. then try to install it. an make sure if your on windows 10 that version of adblock is compatiable with win 10. might be driver is not built for it yet. but like one poster said might just have to enable it. start, control panel, internet options, 4th tab :"manage add on's. or chrome use instructions given above. docj
If your husband is using Microsoft Edge as a browser with Windows 10, the AdBlock Plus website clearly states that at this time the app doesn't yet work with Edge. I just tried it and that's what was displayed on my screen. I don't normally use Edge but I did so just to check on this.
