rynosback, The signature currently in your profile is used for all your posts, past and present. The forum just pulls it from the profile and puts it under the post when the web page is created in the server so old posts will show the current signature the next time they are viewed.

First rule of computer consulting:

Sell a customer a Linux computer and you'll eat for a day.

To add to what Stanley said, if you go in and edit your signature line or change your Avatar, both will then be changed in all posts ever made. Neither of those are physically or digitally in the forum but are added there from the data currently in use when you actually open the view on your computer. Thus when Mariner edited his signature line form Frostproof, FL as mentioned in his first post and changed it to Maryland, all places where his signature shows are now changed.

Correct, once a change is made it is made on ALL of your posts.

Your signature is different then your profile. As they are two different things.

I'm well aware of where my signature displays. I'm also well aware that to change it, I must use my profile settings. The link to my profile also shows in every post I make. What's your point?
