Well it is spring in Florida also. Only problem is when they removed Carol's gall bladder they must have pulled the plug in the clouds over us as it has rained hard for the last few days. Hope Carol is doing great as well as the rest of the class. Lee- need us to send some rain your way?

We have 2 more full days where we are now and then we start a slow move north. Will probably end up in Q again on Aprils 1st for a couple nights before moving on. I bet it looks a little different than it did when we left there in Feb.

No No rain needed but right now we are sending you a bunch of dry dust at about 35 miles per hour so you can soak up some of your rain and makeud pies.

Boy the wind really huffed and puffed here yesterday. We were going to leave, but didn't feel like driving in that all day. Now we're pulling up the anchor this morning and heading up toward Flagstaff. I don't know what my getting on the forum problem is, but I'm on now for a change, so HI everybody!! Hope you all had a fine Easter. Where was that anchor puller tool?? Oh yeah, it's a new app on my phone mumble mumble.......

We decided to go to Canton, Tx. for the big flea market this weekend before going to San Antonio. Got to the campground about noon before all the heavy rain, thunder and lightening. Tornado alerts all around the area. http://www.firstmondaycanton.com/

If you have never been there before I would suggest you get a map to find your way around and take your GPS to find your way out of the flea market. That thing is huge and scattered every where. Have fun and stay safe and dry,

You guys visit that place and you'll have to either trade in your RV on a train or go back to a stick and brick with a barn to store it all.

 

I finally found a twin sleeping bag with zip in sheets like a travelsak (which they no longer make). But expensive, oh boy. $357 FOR THE BAG, An upgrade to 100% cotton 300 count sheet and shipping. It came from a place either called Welcome-aboard.com or RVSuperbag.com. They are both the same place. The Queen and King sizes are only a few bucks more. Still in the 300s. They have a feature the gals might like. They have a flap afair sewed all the way around them to cover the edge of the mattress to make it look like a made up bed. I don't know how reliable they are but I'll let you know in about a week. Only 3 weeks before I head for Iowa. I hope these old bones hold up till then. Lots of work getting ready.

Hello everyone,

I finally got home late Tuesday night from Los Angeles. I had an wonderful time with my son, DIL and of course the newest addition to our family, little April Noel.

 

It was a wonderful trip, perfect weather. We went to the Getty Museum, somewhere I had never been. I used to drive by it everyday while they were building it. The views from there are beautiful. East you can see LA and west on a clear day you can see Santa Monica. The artwork was amazing.

 

Everyone stay safe out there. Glad Carol is recovering from her surgery.

We went to Webster last Monday. If was overcasy and rainy looking. There wasn't as many vendors as the last time we were there. Thinking about going to the one in Auburndale this weekend. It is close to Polk city. We have been there before and thought we might check it out again.

Lee- we try to use the concept of something in then something out. While it doesn't always happen at same time, there is always a point where we do reduce things.

We drove up to that one in Auburndale while we stayed in Wauchula. Spent 6 hrs at the Canton fleamarket yesterday and going back today. Still lots to see. Found a game I had as a kid and couldn't pass it up for $10. It has all the pieces but box is in bad shape. http://www.samstoybox.com/toys/Magnetel.html

 

Tried to bargain on some vintage Ford Model T and A tools but couldn't pull off a deal. Will go back later.

 

Antique stores and flea markets are our weakness. Can't buy anything big while living in the RV. LOL.

Not sure if a "toy" is all we really want or Phantom but don't know much the difference. Not sure either if I don't just want to play with a small one. We looked at some that used the cell phone for video and some that don't. Input? Comments?

We're discovering there are similar ones now in about the same price range. We're going to check out Fry's today too and one on Craigslist. The Vision model seems to come with a camera already installed. We also saw a Phantum DC40. I guess they are pretty much the same except that one doesn't seem to have the GPS mode. So many toys, so little time.
