The Class-less Class

Looking forward to sitting around a fire with a cold one so we can pick your brain about that part of the country. It's still on our radar.

Same here pardner! If ya do the Corpus Christie area (or any other place along the coast) I'd recommend staying less than a month. That salt air is nasty for rust. Several long termers at the park there said that they basically get their rigs painted/undercoated before each season.

Must be cause they eat more PRUNES

Ok, I read the board every day, but seldom post cause while I'm here at Spiker's RV Resort there really isn't much to post about. I do however enjoy seeing how, and where, everyone else is. I do hope to get the Doghouse down south again next winter, but only time will tell on that. I would enjoy seeing everyone.

We are going to Depot Bay the end of next month, but that will be doing the Condo/Timeshare thing.

We are coming right through Oak Harbor. Whatever is convenient for you. Olive Garden in Burlington would work too. And yes, we would love to meet Sharon. We haven't yet but have heard lovely stuff.

We enjoyed spending some time with Jeri and Terry while we are here in Wauchula. They had to move on to see Harry Potter and I think the hectic pace of Wauchula was getting to them. LOL The old Jeep is going to get a lot of miles on it while we stay here for the month.

GO BRONCOS!!!! Peyton who?

Travel safe everyone.

Jeff

I said the Jeep was going to get some miles put on it while we stay here in Wauchula and it is. We don't go every day but in the last 20 days we gone 1000 miles. We are here until Sunday then the march toward San Antonio will begin. We'll be there by the first of April.

Travel safe everyone.

Jerry and Janice - How's Janice's vision? Hope it has gone well.

Tina and Jeff

Janice has surgery done on both eyes for cataracts now. Her vision is not as good as she had hoped. Doctors say that people like Janice that had Lasik before do not get as good results as ones without Lasik. Hope it improves. Final Dr checkup is this thursday. She is not a happy camper right now.

Now this is what a forum should look like. I had a rough day today. It started out last night when I found my bank card had been compromised. I got it cut off so will live on cash until the new one arrives. Last week I ordered, among other things, a new sewer hose. My 8 year old Rhino flex had sprang a leak. The new hose was over due on getting here and I needed to dump my tanks so I could take a shower. So this morning I got the contact cement out and coated the ring the leak was in and the two adjacent rings. As I was about to put the brush back in the bottle of cement, the brush fell out of the tube that holds it to the cap. I spent the next hour trying to get all the sand out of the brush so I could put it back in the bottle. By that time the sewer hose could be compressed to glue those 3 rings closed therefore stopping the leak. So I dumped the tanks and took my shower. Then I remembered I had taken my laundry in this morning so I jumped in the truck to go get it. As I passed the office I saw the package that had the hose I ordered had come and was waiting for me to pick it up. I got the box and the laundry and returned home. This morning I had cleaned the cook top and most of the kitchen area. I had cooked 3 lbs of hamburger and naturally had a lot of splattered grease. When I walked in the trailer I had all the stuff from the kitchen to put away plus the laundry and the box full of rv parts to find a place for. Steve, Margie and Marlou had called inviting me to a homemade pizza party. So with all the junk still scattered around I turned my back on it and went to the party. When I got back I still had to deal with the junk. I finally got it all put away and now it's time for bed. And I'm totalling wasted.

Cool, but right now Oak Harbor is hurting in the Restaurant Dept. So let's plan on Olive Garden in Burlington. That will also be a little easier for Sharon to join us as she will be getting ready for out trip up to Grandy Creek TT on the 16th.

See you guys then, travel safe

We've had that compromise thing happen a couple times too. It's not fun for sure. Well, we survived the nasty storm that hit last night. With the slides pulled in it reminded me of the time in Q! This time we had tornado sirens going off all around us. We didn't have that in Q. Glad it's over and in a few hours we'll get to see what the floods look like around us.

Sorry to hear. I had not had Lasik before my surgeries. Hope it improves for her. Hang in there.

We're so glad to be hearing from you this a.m. and that you're okay! Saw pictures on the morning news...what a mess. Still missing six people from the CG that was hit.

Maybe those six people went to a hotel. I know our neighbors did here.

Good point...let's hope!

Yes, been texting since they are in the same area. The storm missed them but they are about an hour west of the RV park that got destroyed.

Thanks for letting us know. I just heard about the storm and wondered how all of you were doing.

This was not good news for me because I also had Lasik. I won't be a happy camper either. Sure hope things improve for Janice.

Thanks. Glad they are ok.

Been raining here for an hour. Some thunder and suppose to get windy but not like the Gulf Coast. Should be finished by afternoon.

Wow, heard about the storm last night and have been worried about all you guys down that way since. Sure was good seeing your posts here this morning. Guess I need to turn on the news and see what they are showing about it.

Hmmm about the only thing that happened up here is that we went to the Blue Hair Dinner at the Casino last night with a group of friends.
