Yeah Carol, Go Girl Go. I just thought Carol needed a cheering section cause she is our knee exercise Champion. Carol how many pounds have you walked off Steve so far with your " Honey Get Me " act.

Nothing going on around here. I went to the FNP today she was happy with my blood pressure. I've not taken any blood pressure meds for 8 days now and feel a lot better because of it. I hadn't planned on seeing the FNP. I just went to have the nurse take my BP. But she told the Nurse to hold me till she finished with the patient she was with then came in and told me what she had planned for a treatment schedule for me and she just wanted to know if the Iron was starting to help which I think it is. I might even get dangerous and start working on things again. Now if I can just break the afternoon Steve habit.

I've typed this post twice already and Microsoft ate it both times. I quit. I'll try again on the Apple Air iPad tonight.

Try typing it in notepad and copy/paste into IE once you are done if you must use IE. Easier might be switching to Google's Chrome that seems to work better with these forums.

I'm at the rig now using my iPad. It works much better if you can type with one finger. One of the gals from the park is here cleaning this dump up for me in hopes I can convince the EPA to remove all this yellow tape they have strung around here. When I was talking to her about wages she ask if she needed to bring any special tools or cleaning products. I told her that a shovel, hammer and chisel and her Haz-Mat suit might come in handy. Obviously she didn't believe me she did get here. When she's done I'll be able to really give Steve a hard time until Carol gets back in shape now that I can just sit here and watch now that she is doing all the house cleaning.

Last night I went to the truck stop to eat diner. On the way back there was a thunderhead way high in the sky. As I drove in under it a bolt of lightning struck and hit a ways in front of me. It was the longest arc I've ever seen. I wonder if it was telling me I better change my ways. Or maybe it was Steve playing with his Flux Capacitor. He better watch it I might fire up my phase change oscillator and reverse it's charges. No, I don't think I have to worry. Carol is keeping him too busy.

Stanley, I think my trouble is windows 8.1 on a Hewitt Packard computer that doesn't have a switch to turn the touch pad off while typing. And the touch pad is ultra sensitive and it's only adjustment is the time delay that determines a tap from an accidental touch. I'm about ready to toss it in the trash. I do have chrome installed but it doesn't seem to make a difference.

I try to avoid Windows but I remembered seeing something about the HP touchpads, might be what you need:

http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Other-Notebook-PC-Questions/HP-Pavilion-note-book-windows-8-1-OS-touchpad/m-p/3613477#M90332

Open windows Control Panel, open Mouse, slect the ClickPad Settings tab and then click on the ClickPad Settings button - the option you need to enable ( if it's available for your hardware ) is shown in the Image below. Once enabled, double-tapping the top left corner of the touchpad will enable/disable the pad.

Can't post the picture from there, the forum doesn't like it. Hopefully your computer offers this option since it doesn't have a switch.

Friday afternoon Tina was going to take Harley, our deaf, bad eye sighted Dachshund out for a walk and got bit on the back of her hand. Sunday we went to the ER here in Cody. She had antibiotic IV's 4 times. At noon,6, midnight and 6 Monday morning. They took about an 1 1/2 hours each time. Saw a hand specialist Monday and Tuesday mornings. He says it looks good no surgery. One more visit with him tomorrow morning and we should be on the road again toward the Black Hills. Keep your fingers crossed.

Wait a minute ..... I no longer have THAT question to ask. I have plenty others though but none to post here, right now. :D

Now you have the world wondering what THAT question was.

Stanley; thanks for the info. I'll give it a whirl in the morning when I go over to the shop.

Darn Jeff that's a bummer. I sure hope every thing turns out well. Tell her next time to bite the dog right back. When I'm eating steak, I snarl and snap at anyone who reaches for my plate. Maybe it will work on the dog too.

Ouch! . She might think about buying some thick leather gloves for protection.

Golly .... it wasn't an important question. I was just going to tap Steve's brain about where he stayed when he was close to Port Townsend. We just booked a site there but could only get 4 days. It seems all the weekenders are starting to show up at the RV parks. We don't like tat one little bit. However, we found a place that'll work just fine.

She's letting me walk the dog now. What about the Port Townsend Elks?

Yes the Port Townsend Elks is a good place. The place we stayed at was Smitty's RV park just before you get to Fort Flagler. Talk to Lynn there as she knows us. It's a nice quiet park. Also there is an Escapees park there too.

Thanks Jeff and Steve. We've stayed at the Elks there and also at the SKP park in the past. This time we wanted waterfront. We could get Point Hudson but only for 4 nights. We took those 4 but want a few more waterfront nights.

Sorry to hear about this. As someone going deaf with deteriorating eyesight I understand the desire to bite sometimes. So far, I just growl, though.

I didn't do much except sit here and watch the Gal muck out my Mansion. It sure is nice to have things all clean again. It was getting pretty bad. She did the frig and stove today. The stove wasn't too bad cause I never use it. Just a little dusty. But the Frig was a disaster area.

The weather here is getting back up over that century mark again. it feels like a blast furnace when you walk outside. Luckily it stays fairly cool here until noon then it starts to sizzle. The FNP has turned me loose until Aug 4th unless my blood pressure gets to be over 150/90. I'm thinking I might try to get out of here for a couple of weeks but all the really cool places are about 500+ miles away. The scotchman in me says it cost too much for only a couple weeks of cool. I considered shooting the scotchman but we have too many deaths here now and I might give the place a bad name. I can't figure a way to seperate the Eskimo and the Scotchman in me so I guess I'll just have to keep him around and tell the Eskimo to take off that darn parka. They say heat will make people talk about crazy things but that could never happen to me. LOL.

Had the strangest thing happen to us today. We left this morning around 10 and when we arrived home around 2 we found our generator running!!!. We were plugged into the electric and have never had this happen before. Pretty scary. No damage to the electric bush. Anyone ever have this happen???

Ah, the gremlins! The only thing that I can think of on our rig that would cause that would be the gennie sensing the house batteries are too low. That should only happen if you aren't plugged into shore power however. Perhaps for some reason your batteries aren't getting that float charge? I dunno, I'm new to this on board generator thing!

Tina, sorry to hear about your hand. Hoping that it heals quick. We'll be in the Black Hills too July 10th for a week before heading to Cherry Creek State Park in Aurora, CO. Sounds like we'll just miss you and Jeff...getting closer though!

The doctor said we could go. She still has some swelling across the knuckles and getting more movement back each day. Thanks everyone.

We are at Devil's Tower for a couple of nights then on towards the Black Hills. Roger, we may've moved on by the 10th but you never know with us.

Safe travels everyone.

Hey, Ed, yes I've heard of that happening. Usually it's caused by moisture getting in the main harness plug going into the generator and shorting out. Sometimes the condensate water from the dash air conditioner drips directly on the plug area. I think you've got a 7500 Onan. Steve

I'm working over this computer this morning. The operation that Stanley posted isn't available on this computer

but I finally found some controls for the touch pad that allowed me to disable everything but the essentials. I can get along with it just fine now but I still don't like this computer. But there are no sensitivity controls that I can find as yet. it's either enable of disable full throttle or nothing.

The gal is still working on my trailer. By the time she gets done I'll have paid her enough to have just bought a new trailer and toss the other in the dumpster.

I tried a different restaurant last night. I think I jumped from the frying pan into the fire. It was bad. So tonight I'll go to Forgetaboutit and have some spaghetti to recover.

Ed: I agree with Steve and Roger about the Generator problem also check badly corroded or loose wire connections both at the battery and the generator output..

I see everything I quiet on the Classless front this morning. It started out a little on the cool side here this morning but the weather prevaricator says it's going to approach 100 today. We are always a couple degrees warmer than he lies about so I'm not going to wear any long johns today for sure. I took one of the Cowgirls out to Forgetaboutit last night and ordered Chicken Alfredo. It was delicious but more than I could eat in one setting. So I guess it's Chicken Alfredo for lunch today. The gal that's mucking out my Mansion is going to take the afternoon off so I have all day to do as I wish. I think I'll jump in the truck and take off for someplace. Maybe Las Cruces. I really don't have anything I want to get over there but I always enjoy spending the day in the book store. Or maybe I'll sneak over to Shawnee and steel the ice cream machine while Carol is keeping Steve busy. LOL
