We couldn't find a used one and we kept creeping up the price ranges until we said enough is enough and bought a 2014 Tiffin Phaeton 42LH. But there are some things on that QD I liked better and some things on this 42LH I like better. Why can't they just make the Perfect rig at a affordable price and call it a day LOL!! Looking towards an Outback Bowl bid in nearby Tampa. A MH would work better for tailgating. Looked at a few of those Tours when we spent a few hours at Lazy Days a week ago with Tina & Jeff. They did look nice Steve but, like you, I'd have to get a used rig...maybe they'd let me take it out for a "test drive" on New Years Day?!! Casino gives you $10 each play money and free buffet each. I would easily say best casino buffet ever. Parlayed our $20 play money into $18.75 taking home money. What fun. But what about ice cream and 3 days of w/e hookups free? Casinos can be a good place to stop. We're leaving Sumter Oaks on Monday for a couple nights at Lazy Days in Seffner to kick some MH tires and then six nights at a place near Naples. After that we'll head back north to try and hook up with you guys as long as you promise not to rub in that "game"! Roger No worries about rubbing it in. I've had aqua-hot too long to give it up now, and at least the Tour located the unit in a place you can do the annual service on it much easier. The problem I have right now is that there are no Tiffin dealers in Las Vegas, so I can't see a Phaeton 42 LH in person. Even though our Bus is an 05, it still has the side radiator, smart wheel, IFS, Aqua-hot and 2 stage compression brake. What I do want is the 10,000 KW generator (which is a constant speed), and three AC units. We still have to visit Oklahoma from time to time and the extra air would be a nice help, and of course the L sofa and TV/fireplace combo. Now that Phaeton has addressed a few of those items it looks much more attractive. Did you get the all electric unit? I still like to cook on a gas stove, but maybe you can teach an old dog new tricks. ha ha Anyway, now all you have to do is move?? Steve Duhh, :wacko:ok, now I checked out your blog and read the "rest of the story" . Thanks for posting the pictures, they are a big help. One thing I didn't like about the Tour was the extra layer they put on the kitchen area. We have an espresso machine that fits nicely on our current counter, but would not work on the Tour's counter. We also had our filing system under the bed on the Bus, and it doesn't look like you can do that in the Tour. We have IFS, but it's hard to find anyone to align them. We had to do it last year, and it was a chore. I think the tag axle will more than equal any gain the IFS gives you. I've never driven one without so I don't know. Neither Tour or Phaeton have a side radiator, so no advantage there. I'd like to talk to you about your phaeton sometime, so give me a call at 405 six four 0, 3460. Anytime (well I'm in the Pacific time zone right now) so be gentle!!! That induction cooktop boils a pan of water in nothing flat!!! And now they put the Aqua Hot in the 42LH so even though we have not used it much yet it seems pretty nice. And the electric element has been all we needed so far. The other night it was 35 degrees and just the heated floor kept the coach very warm all night, I was pretty impressed. The pantry in the Tour is very impressive but after doing some measuring the fact the rest of the cabinets in the 42LH are larger than the Tour it rally evens out. And the storage under the Tiffin is better designed. But I love the full slide, 150 gal fuel tank, larger shower and more comfortable couch in the Tour. I will give you a call later,,, lets see it's 4:30 there now,, ARE YOU AWAKE LOL!! Saw the whole process. Plan on seeing a lot more fulfillment centers because his new goal is to have same day delivery!! Some using drones!!! It was awesome. We had a great meal with Linda, Dave, Nancy, Jim and Sandie. It was a 2 1/2 hour meal but the waitress wasn't slow. It was just that we were so busy talking that the time got away from us. Man How do you stand all that 24/7. I have to take a Steve every after noon just thinking about the way you guys have to live. LOL I went into Wally world in Brawley today to stock up. My cupboard were getting to look very much like Old Mother Hubbard's. I'll have to go in again Tuesday or Wednesday to get my hair cut and toenails trimmed. I hate the blood stains when I try to do it myself anymore. The weather here has been deluxe. Not too Hot and Not too cold. Mid 70 days and Low 50 night's. That's hard to beat. We are getting a few more clouds than I would like but I guess you have to have something to complain about. Hmmmmm with Passport America it's $12.00 a day for 14 days. And I can walk to "The Winery" Restaurant. So not only is it cheaper, it also has a lot of stuff that SKP doesn't have.
