I got back from Colorado on Sat. night. Roger and Lynn came in while I was gone. They fixed chili last night that was really good. Had a few beverages and talked. Imagine that. Got to love the humidity here in Fla.

Hey everyone out west this year make your plans for Florida next year 'cause we'll be out west next year. lol.

Later,

Jeff

Welcome back to sunny and humid FL. Maybe a little rain today where we are. Remember, if you get close to Ft Myers Beach, give us a shout.

I'm in the parking lot of the Shell station in Gila Bend AZ. It's 3:30 PM and 78 degrees. A little warmer than I'm use to but not bad and it's free. So far the nearest truck is about 110 yards away. Three other RV's share this end of the lot and the nearest one is about 100 feet from me. There is a SubWay sandwich place here but no restaurant unless you want to unhook and drive into town. It's only about 200 mile on into the Slabs. I should be there fairly early tomorrow. Have fun kids, Don't fight and Eat your vegetables.

Can I throw some of my veggies at my 6AM door slamming neighbor????

Julie, No food fights either. Try rocks.

Well I'm here at the Slabs. Now what do I do. I pulled in about 10:00 this morning. That hour gain between AZ & CA sure makes an early arrival. There is as much junk here as always and so far I can't remember what it is about this place that always calls me back. I'll give it a couple of weeks. If I don't get back in the groove (Or was that the gutter?) I'll go some place else.

You could rev your bike outside their windows about an hour after they turn off their lights? Seems fair to me. Of course, they likely wouldn't get the implication but it might make you feel better.

Thanks for the "Welcome back". I picked a great week to be in Denver. The temps were in the 50's and 60's, much better than this week. It's been wet here in Bushnell but warm.

Staying here until 12/1 then moving to Naples through 12/8. Hope to work out a get together with you while there.

You kids out west behave now.

Dang, things sure got WET here last night. And it looks like they are still wet today clear up through Lost Wages. Steve, hope you and Carol are staying dry. On second thought, get Jeri and Terry and you all take some Cranberry Juice and hit the Hot Tub. Should be fun in the rain.

Heading to Mexico for Lunch today. And maybe just a bit of shopping. I know a couple of ladies up north that really like the Bailey's Chocolate's.

Well, we're back from Norfolk and not happy with the weather here. Wet isn't the half of it! It's downright nasty in Boulder City. The wind blew and the rain drenched us yesterday and expected most of the day today! Besides that it's cold!! We ran into a glitch yesterday with one of Terry's prescriptions. He spent a good portion of yesterday waiting for it to be called in. There is no branch of that pharmacy in Nevada so ..... it was called into a locaiton in Kingman. So, we'll probably be off to Kingman tomorrow. We're hoping there's sunshine that direction. We're tired of being cold!

Well shiver my timbers. I was just at happy hour and this cowgirl walked up and ask if I was IYQ. It was Mary Jane Finely (spelling?) She is running with the WINs (Wandering INdividuals) now. I didn't even recognize her until she said I'm Mary Jane. She looked good and seemed very happy in her new life. Other than that bright spot, today has been a bummer. It never got out of the 50's, very cloudy and spitting rain most of the day. I guess I'm lucky though. It's under a winter storm and Ariel flood watch back in Deming.

Two days of rain and the truck was temporarily stuck. We had planned on moving into a park tomorrow to dump and fill but we will not risk getting the rig stuck in the mud. C'mon sunshine, dry up all the rain.

Good to hear Mary Jane is doing so well. Now if the weather would just shape up or ship out...

Well, we finally shipped out. It was nasty, nasty, nasty in Boulder City. With the rain and wind and cool temperatures, we finally said "NO MORE" and moved on out. It was nasty driving too. We're overnighting at the Walmart in Kingman. Guess what? We saw lots of blue skies this afternoon and the rain is back in Nevada!

I just copied this from Dennis Hill's blog because it helped me get in a better frame of mind for Thursday: "We were doing fine until mother nature decided we needed some cold rain. We are still doing fine because we are full timers in a recreational vehicle."

Well we just moved down from Prescott to Apache Junction. Staying at the Elks for a week. Looks like Jeri & Terry & Jim and Sandie are in the area, so we are imagining a getting together...

Only for a week? Only for a week? We just got in town too. However, I jump a flight (hopefully) Wednesday morning for Portland but hope to be back sometime Saturday. We were going to check with Jim and Sandie about meeting someplace next week. Where are you running to. We're at the Scottsdale Elks but figure we'll move someplace next Monday. Lots of construction trucks here this year. :-(

I'm tentatively planning to drive into Phoenix Monday but I have such a long list of things to do while there I may not see anyone this time either. I'll probably spend the night at the Walmart across from San Tan Village or whatever the name of that place is because I expect to spend the evening at the Apple Store doing updates and don't want to have to drive very far after dark. Of course that may all change when I talk to my brothers and they say, "No, you need to do this."

OOooo... Maybe get together Sunday? We need to leave AJ no later than Monday, cause Nancy has a dentist apptment in Tucson on Tuesday (Dec 3). We're planning to hang out in Tucson for about a month.

You're going to miss us by a couple of days. If you want to know about boondocking at Snyder Hill, let us know. We know where to find all the necessities.

I didn't sleep much last night so I made up for it today so probably won' t sleep much tonight. I'm having trouble getting into the swing of things here. Tomorrow I think I'll go to Brawley and get a rotisserie chicken and fix my own Thanksgiving dinner. They are having the usual turkey day spread here at the LOW SLAB but I don't care for turkey. I set up my telescope last night. Viewing was pretty good but there is a little more light pollution than I thought there would be. I could see most galaxies pretty good but faint nebulae didn't show so good. The big Orion nebula showed nice and bright but the small faint ones didn't show at all. I guess I'll have to get a scope with about a 20" mirror to see them. But I'd need about ten cowgirls to help set it up. A chunk of glass that big is a trifle heavy.

Hey, lee, you need to look for that comet Ison that is cruising around up there. They say it will be really good if it survives Thursday's close encounter with the sun.

done saw it. If it survives I'll see it again about Dec 1st. With the naked eye. No, that's what I use to watch cowgirls.

Sunday works for us ...... Come up with a plan and we'll write it in chalk.

There's a Logan's Roadhouse or Toby Keith's Bar and Grill near Bass Pro - the 202 and 101. Easy drive for us from AJ. Not too far I don't think from you guys.
