1. This is another project I have been thinking on for 40 or so years. It is a old 12 gauge shotgun that I first received in parts in a box. Back in the mid 70’s I did hunt small game with it. So since the forum had a upgrade I am now having problems posting pictures. Darryl told me to remove the Img on the end of the photo. It worked. Now I can only remove the img on the end. When I attempt the one on the right it skips to the end. [IMG]https://i.imgur.com/N702DoQl.jpg[/ []https://i.imgur.com/xvaRhEFl.jpg So subject had a lot of dust and rust from my own negligence. I will also show one of my mishandling of this gun. It happened by accident ,sorta. Help need on picture posting. Vern in a T-shirt
2. Well I have sorta given up on shooting the rifle for awhile as the weather has prohibited driving on the back country roads. The wife would be real made if I had a accident from the winter weather. Only one shooting range will allow new members. They have a 100 yard range open now. Hopefully they will open there 300 yard range in the spring. Also I would need to go to a orientation to join the club. I do not want be near people now because of the covid thing. I will work on a better bullet mold while there is snow on the ground and I can work in the machine shop. When the weather gets better I have located a few possibilities for shooting. Will keep informed, Vern in a T-shirt
3. Lets say it is a suburban sf 25 furnace. So there are two basic noises that could be coming from the unit. First would be a bearing problem on the motor shaft. They tend to come on slowly. Very faint as in hardly detectable at first. To really screeching noise. The second noise could be that the combustion wheel has slid on the motor shaft. And then it is rubbing the blower case. Sorta a different kind of noise. I have seen that noise be more of a chirping type sound. Now thinking about it there could be another noise that say started all at once. Probably a bees nest. But that would take a few days to build. Then it makes an out of balance noise. One time I was working on a generator for a customer and got it working properly. Next morning he called and said his furnace started to make a really bad noise in the middle of the night. He turned it off as it was not really freezing that night. So I took the furnace cover off and was looking at what might be the problem. Dead mouse in the blower wheel. Apparently it was in the wheel when the furnace came on. Vern in a T-shirt
4. Had it and lost it. Now it is back. I need two smart pills today Vern in a T-shirt
5. Well something else went wrong today. The photo posting worked since Darryl told me how to do it. But now it did not. I have other stuff to do today. Will try later Vern in a T-shirt
6. Just a test []https://i.imgur.com/E3djO3dl.jpg this is a picture of a squirrels business in a Motorhome Vern in a T-shirt
7. Remove the img in front and at the end before you post it here. Darryl told me that. And it works for me. Vern in a T-shirt
8. Try unplugging the converter. There maybe a problem with it that is causing the problem. Just thinking, Vern in a T-shirt
9. I would suggest looking at The igniter board. There is many problems with moisture on those boards. Look ok the back and see if there is corrosion. There may be some on the front also. I seen many problems with that model a Domestic furnace that I will not work on them anymore. Yes I am a Domestic dealer. Vern in a T-shirt
10. So I will say some things I have experience with doing the traveling rv repair business. 1. First thing is to have a good understanding of what you are going to be working on. I went to rv repair school. 10 weeks of training. What I needed most was electrical knowledge. As I was never around anyone that taught me the real basics of 12vdc operation. As in how sensitive it can be. That subject gives great thoughts on what the heck is happening. And that school really did not explain to me what really was happening. When I seen the problems in real life it stuck in my brain a lot better. 2. So if you start working on things and you have problems with what you are doing, most customers will pickup on it real fast. They will tell other people about there experience. If you accomplish your subject in respectable time things will go good for your customer and they will pass that if on to other people. For the last 10 years I mostly did not have signs on my vehicle . Word of mouth was working. 3. Insurance and registering with the states are doable. Some patience may be needed. Insurance May cost twice as much depending on state your home base is. Million dollar policy is doable. That is what I have.done. You can get a short term tax number, just like people at art fairs do. Or tax numbers for long term work. I would not recommend any of your competitors to do what you cannot. If there is a problem with that work, you could be responsible. 4 I normally spent summer or winter at one spot. Much better for volume of work by sitting still. Customers will hopefully send you more work. Constant moving every week may limit work. As no customer base to go on. That said I have followed NASCAR races and found work lots of work in just the campground I was in. Talladega speedway at one time had about 35000 rv’s show up for a week. With today’s health issue I have stopped working about 95 percent. So with sports complexes being limited that idea may not work for awhile. 5. Doing something specialized may work also. Fiberglass repair, gelcoat repair and paint touch up was good for me at times. You do want to tell the office what you are doing.. There are lots of thinking to do if you attempt this subject.. on thought is to not have all new tools on your tool bag. That can be a clue that you just started the business. Yep I have seen that. Anyone that has seen my service vehicle know it has a ton of experienced tools in it. Vern in a T-shirt
11. I mean who of us on the forum do you think. Sorta bored so just thinking of something to talk about. Vern in a T-shirt

16. With winter weather being in the area it has put a damper on finding a place to shoot. The one local range only has 100 yard range open now. The other one is not taking new participants. There is one I may check out about 45 minutes southwest of where we are. Just did not have time to go in that direction lately. So yesterday I tried casting some bullets. Out of maybe 30 cast bullets a dozen look good. It takes quit a few to be cast to get the wrinkles of of the bullets. Then yesterday I noticed the aluminum base mold exspanded more than the steel upper part. As you can see the lower mold can shift to one side. Although I had put stops on the aluminum mold to hold it centered. With the aluminum mold expanding more than the steel I figured out to moved the mold to center the upper mold. Frustrating but can be done. I am thinking of buy a steel mold for the bottom. Or make one as I have some smaller round ball molds I do not need. On the left is a good bullet. As you see going to the right you can see different problems do occur. The one bullet pulled apart as it was removed too quickly. Vern in a T-shirt The picture may not work?
17. Since I am not a computer person. I need help on how to edit my post . My eyes play tricks with my fingers when typing sometimes. Vern In a T-shirt Thanks, Glenn. I hate to try something and mess up the whole system.
18. This is where I have seen a ground problem. The shiny metal on the side is the ground on a 59 amp plug. Vern in a T-shirt

it seems like the new forum lost the edit function. Or I cannot find it.

      Curious Vern

20. I had one situation where the ground on the shore power post was gone. When cable person disconnected the cable he got 110 vac shocked. Nothing serious but that pointed to a ground problem on the incoming power supply. Vern in a T-shirt
21. Also years ago there was some problems with fluorescent lights causing some problems. I think like back around 2010 or 2012 timeframes. i need to take a history pill to clear that time frame. Vern in a T-shirt
22. Just a odd thought on your situation. Do you have the batteries disconnected. Just running on the converter. That may cause problems. Always have the batteries connected. They remove stray alternating current from the 12vdc side. Next thing is all 12 vdc connections clean. Dio you have a twist lock connection on the power cord at the rv . I have seen the ground , that is the shiny metal on the side (50amp) cause problems with electronics Just thinking, Vern in a T-shirt
23. Well the weather has put a hold on shooting. Every road i tried to go on to search for a open spot has ice on it. So I decided to call the reservation about shooting. The little chief that answered the phone said that since big game hunting just ended that I would not be allowed to shoot on the reservation. So I keep talking to him about what I wanted to do. But he said there are two braves that check the area quit a often as they are responsible for irrigation canals and generally watching for mischief. He said if braves caught me they would bring me in to meet the little chief. Little chief said that the area I wanted to shoot in has bighorn sheep in it. I told him I know as I had one run across the road once in front of me several years ago. He did tell me about a place of land that I could shoot with no regulations on it. But I would bet that road is icy now also. I am working slowly on other gun stuff as time permits. Soon to make a furnace for melting German silver to cast parts for guns. Vern in a T-shirt
