  1. I have had an engine run cold, never warm up, because I had a Shop do the pump. When I pulled the thermostat out there was a glob of silicone caught in the thermostat keeping it open.
  2. Great to see another HDT, we saw this truck on I-40 between Asheville and Candler NC. Anybody recognize it.
  3. Likely not relevant, as I own a 2006 780. I found my dash ac switch assembly to be the problem. I can switch the fan knob through each step, and hear the week sounding fan change speed. I can also move the knob slowly BETWEEN each speed setting, and stop when the fan is going full beans. I stop BETWEEN the notches. I know I could order a new switch assembly, but I am a cheap b@$+ฯ@ГΩ. I can always find the sweet spot in between by fiddling with the knob.
  4. Best of luck, we look forward to hearing it was easy👍
  5. 🤗 rpsinc, I hope it is helpful. Next video I plan on having more fun. Like Eric O. On South Main Auto👍
  6. When the air leaks got so bad as to drop the suspension during a 1 hour stop for dinner while traveling, I decided to fix it. I aired up the truck st the Schrader port on the governor, I grabbed a large bottle of kids bubble mix. I poured it in a spray bottle started at the rear most air bags, and sprayed every air line connection. I worked forward fixing or replacing any component that made bubbles. The Truck will stay up for weeks, and has not "folded" the big bags in the rear even after sitting over a month.
  7. Took me several weekends to fix the one hour air down. Find a leak fix it Find a leak fix it Find a leak fix it And so on........
  8. A gassy horse will never tire A gassy man is a man to hire🤣
  9. Glad you are well, I recently replaced the ECM with a used one. The harness is just leaking slightly at the point it passes through the head. I believe I can pull the valve cover, disconnect the injectors, pull the harness out and replaced the failed o-ring. I will likely however add some Right Stuff gasket material first to stop/slow the leak. With 3000 miles being a heavy travel year, I suspect some gasket material will buy me a couple of years.
  10. Thank you Suite and Nigel, Very minor leak, I will remove the bolt and clean the area and apply some Right Stuff. See if that holds it for a while.
  11. The Fuel injector harness is showing leaking oil at the spot it enters the head just below the valve cover on the drivers side rear. To me it looks as though the harness is one piece. I suspect the o-ring has failed at the passthrough. Looks as though I will need to pull the valve cover, unplug the injector connectors and fish a new o-ring back on. Will I be able to reuse the valve cover gasket, what else should I inspect and or replace while I am in there? Thanks, Michael
  12. Check the grounds, by the starter. Take them all off, clean each one and the block. Chase the threads with a tap, and clean washers thoroughly. Reassemble, and spray with fluid film or equivalent. Then if it is a Volvo, clean the grounds on the firewall above the pass through. Lastly, I think it is a Volvo, unplug the ECM connectors and check for green crusties, or moisture intrusion. Clean and lube the connectors seals and reassemble. Pull the code on the dash, and see if you can Google the code.
  13. The tires I run will come off the bead by themselves when they are flat.

  15. So sorry to hear of your misadventure. I am thankful it was a $1200 part and not a $12000 in frame.
  16. Lose a finger trying to cover the ET head with that.
  17. What I thought too, until Henry said 5/16 thick.
