  1. Yes, the conversion from commercial truck to motor home requires no weight bearing hitch. Bumper pull hitch to comply and get approved.
  2. Little tip for those who might care, the generation of Volvo keys that are the same as Dodge, Bolt Locks will work with the Volvo key. Boltlock.com Order the Dodge version.
  3. Possible store brand? Likely rebadged from another manufacturer. Take a close look at the tread pattern, you may find out who actually makes them.
  4. We tongue pull because it is the law as a Florida state resident. We load a Jeep Rubicon on the deck👍
  5. I purchased the ECM, shipped it to the house. No core, so I still have the original to send for a rebuild if it can be. I installed it, then dealt with the two separate parameters that were different from my trucks build. I do not recall anything other then it came from a running truck. likely sourced from a wrecked truck. I think I paid $800ish
  6. The used one I bought got me going again. It had a different engine fan set up then my truck, so I had to add a thermostat control to cycle the fan off and on appropriately. I also had to have the fleet limits turned off so as to get the full range of speed out of the truck.
  7. What service was just performed? likely better to start there then start searching voltages.
  8. I would want to make quite certain the ring terminals were in great shape. Did you happen to also clean the corresponding ground wires as well? You will also want to retrace the steps that were done during the extended service.
  9. I would start at the two connections at the ECM, and the 12 volt and ground connections at the batteries. The ECM wants good clean 12 volts and grounds to operate correctly.
  10. I use a set of 10 foot ramps up to a deck with no dove tail. The Jeep handles the incline the best in 4 wheel low range. I cannot speak to the clearance issue as I am unable to use a weight bearing hitch on my truck due to Government overreach in Florida.
  11. My wife and I have traveled thousands of miles with a TT and the Volvo for 7 and a 1/2 years. TT has shown no ill effects of being pulled by the Volvo. I do use a hitch with some give to it, but did not add it until year two or three. The Ty was 6-7 years old when we bought it, now about 14 years old. The hitch is a Gen-y hitch and has been great, except it’s heavy. https://www.amazon.com/Cushion-Adjustable-Hitch-Receiver-Torsion/dp/B01APPV7YM?pd_rd_w=qDWeY&content-id=amzn1.sym.b854a5c2-4475-41f8-a6d4-df92b2868104&pf_rd_p=b854a5c2-4475-41f8-a6d4-df92b2868104&pf_rd_r=JK1DW0WTQS5REEYTMGZA&pd_rd_wg=dfDb6&pd_rd_r=cbb96ecb-89b6-470c-a9fc-8d70b35ef9e8&pd_rd_i=B01APPV7YM&psc=1&ref_=pd_basp_bia_rpt_ba_s_2_sc
  12. Sounds like this may be a great shop, I sure hope so. When they repair the failed component the board might possibly still be a plug and play back it the truck.
  13. I forgot to say, the only thing the neighbor did with the tablet was to turn off the fleet management stuff my top end with limited, and something other small thing
  14. Buy a used ECM, get the trip finished, then deal with the ECM rebuild. My neighbor has a Class 8 tablet(he owns a trucking outfit), the ECM I bought came from a truck with a very similar VIN#, only last 6 were different. I could drive the truck, but needed to create a way to manage the fan. Might be able to get the dealer to reconfigure the options, but I just need it to work, so I added a thermostat control and relay with an override switch in the dash if I just want cold air when sitting still and idling. So far so good 5000 miles and several trips, still “working”. I am hopeful that you have good luck with the rebuilder, as I will stop by there on my way to Asheville and drop it off, if they do you a good job.
  15. Work is from both sides, I recall drawing a detailed map of both sides. Then labeling things with masking tape, next step was removal. The under dash things on my 06 were not extensive as I recall. While your in the vicinity, there are some ground lugs just above the pass through under the hood, that should be inspected and cleaned as necessary. I was very apprehensive before I got started. I made quite sure I had everything written down, inspected, photographed, and memorized. The job itself after I did that much preparation was relatively simple. Just take good notes and photos, work patiently, and you can do it. Michael
  16. Dex heavy duty https://dexheavydutyparts.com/ maybe 🤔
  17. It was an easy project, I took multiple photo’s drew a very detailed map, then tackled it. Surprisingly easy job.
  18. We pray for a speedy delivery and repair. Please share more of the part and repair when things return to normalcy.
  19. Call for mobile mechanic, they are 24-7 and will have it repaired fast. Do brace yourself for the price, but sure beats being stuck in a rest area. I had to do it, price was cheaper than I expected, and I got to watch him diagnose and resolve the issue. Helped me immensely when a similar issue popped up a couple years later,
  20. I bought the set twice, last set purchased on January 10th, 2021, order total with tax was $12.40. Seems like their lying about the inflation numbers.
