Google works great to or just go to you maps, have the area that you want in the screen and search for camping or campgrounds.

UPDATE!!!!!!!
With no retail option available to fit the space and no upholsterers that will tackle the project...we decided to purchase a HD sewing machine, a pneumatic upholstery stapler and some quality upholstery fabric and reupholster the sofa ourselves! The sofa was bolted to the slide out floor..husband removed one section at a time and we very carefully removed the existing (terrible) fabric and used it as a pattern for the new fabric. We also reused the existing zippers (9 of them) on the 4 seat cushions and 5 back cushions. There were MILLIONS of staples in the old fabric. We also reused the foam in the seat cushions as it was in good condition.
The entire project took us 2 months but we did not work at it every day. We are very happy with the end result and are glad we went this route. I know its not for everyone,,,but it was doable for us...and now we have a sofa we love...and bragging rights!
Sorry but I am unable to post a picture...cannot resize it small enough.
What? You can buy furniture that fits the rig. What to revive a thread that is 6 years old. 👍🏻

Just pulled in today. What a nice park.

Yes, it's sad. I hope the right people read this.
They don’t care and believe miss information that is out there. There is no changing their minds. It’s their life to gamble with, but it looks like it might start effecting me.

OK . . . So if you are vaccinated why the mask. . . . More of the propaganda BS. Masks don't work . . . It's been proven to make people sicker. . . . Good luck with that spike protein.
JUST MY OPINION
We need to wear a mask because the unvaccinated are getting infected by the truck load allowing Covid to continue to mutate. And because of that, I will need to get a booster. And it will keep getting more deadly and killing the non vaccinated. Why roll the dice and not listen to science?

And that's your right. You've made your bet. We've made ours. I hope we can compare notes when this is over. I wish you a long and healthy life Steve and Joy.
Well said.

Well as adults we make our decisions and pay the conciseness for them. And I agree, it is to late for a lot of them.

If you have the time try to plan a factory tour to see how they are really put together, in the factory where the Redwoods are built they also build the Crossroads Cameo, around the corner from there Cedar Creek and River Stone are built then not far in Howe is the DRV plant. Plus there is a lot of great tourist things to see and do while in that are and the Amish restaurants will have you gain some pounds, also stop at what a lot call the " Amish Crack House" which is really Rise n Roll Bakery with possibly the BEST donuts ever.
They have good cinnamon buns also. 🤤

I considered a Redwood a number of years ago but don't remember why I chose a DRV but I think the Redwood dealer was a pushing to much.
I quick comments on those two models and that may be negative comments. Why is the Fresh water tank so small compared to Grey tank. The rear of the RV is part of roughest ride, Imagine how you kitchen items will travel. I didn't see the suspension but if your getting big unit consider the MORryde I.S. suspension option as it eliminates the axles and leaf springs.
Final comment and it applies to all manufactures with full time use. Will you be satisfied with recliners and soda?
Clay pulling and STOPPING 20,000 pound RV with a MDT (Class 5)
I also looked at a Redwood and went with a DRV. The structure of the DRV is much stronger. My Ram 3500 CTD DRW tows it fine. The benefit to DRV is that custom changes can be made.
I would try to stay at 40’ or below as it will give you many more options of places to stay. -
Funny you posted this now. I will be there in 3 days.

So, with older rigs that look great, how are we to deal with the 'we don't accept any trailers over 10 yrs old' RV park mentality?
Move onto another campground and be happy to give your money to them. Some let you jump through hoops and like sending current pictures and even having them inspected on your dime. Screw them and move on.

I agree with Linda H.

You would need to get a slider hitch. Even with them they can hit the cab. Plus I think your towing with to little truck.
-
WOW, that is steep. It might be because of the cost of new and used cars increases. As well as RVs have been going up. So the cost of replacement is going up.

Why put it out there? People can always PM you.

Here is the other kicker. There is A LOT of people that have gotten one shot and not the second. So they are not fully vaccinated. What’s up with that? Maybe it’s the same people that start things but don’t finish them.

Most places we have been the vaccines are available at Walmart, CVS and Walgreens. There not much excuse to not getting the shot(s).
Ken
Yes, I agree completely. I hope the ones that choose not to be vaccinated stay safe and alive. But the sad part is, there are going to be a percentage of them that die because they choose not to get vaccinated. What really makes it worse is because of them this keeps mutating and it could be bad for all of us.

Hmmm. Six years is a good test. My Ford's GPS (we've named her Bong-Bong) has a wicked sense of humor that will take you through a mile of residential streets to save 50' of travel. I will read some more on the Garmin.

2006 Carriage Carri-Lite 36KSQPlus I get free updates to maps and POIs. It’s stupid that the GPS in the big three trucks do not allow you to put in parameters and route you accordingly, as they are capable of pulling heavy loads now. But the updates would be costly over time.

Hey y'all.. I'm an Escapee's member and the founder of what is now called RV LIFE. One of my colleagues linked me to this discussion and I thought I'd say hello.
agesilaus, 99 reviews, that's amazing. I know the little thank you we sent out said it was for two years but before the two years expires we'll launch a system that will reward folks for contributing with the intent of making sure it stays free for folks who contribute like you.
We had to find a business model that would afford us resources to keep building better tools (translation = if we don't make money, we can't pay programmers to improve the tools). We understand that there are tons of free resources so our hope is that people who don't want to pay can simply contribute to the community will be rewarded with full access to all the tools.
Thanks again for being part of Campground Reviews community. It's amazing to see what has been accomplished together since it was launched. We should all be proud of what we have built together.
Thanks for the resource. I use it all the time.

Garmin DEZL truckers GPS. The best and safest method. You can program in your night, weight and any hazards. Your app, if there was one would have to rely on a cellular signal. What if you did not have one? A GPS relies on satellites.
It gives you a ton of warnings ahead like speed limit changes, sharp curves, grades, lane assist and construction notifications.
Not to mention the thousands and thousands of points of interest including campgrounds. In 6 years it has not gotten me in any trouble. -

Every once in awhile Campground Reviews sends reviewers a message telling them how many views their posts have had. I just went over 10,000 and was at 99 total reviews. I then got a message saying I was being rewarded with two years free of RV Life of which of most interest to me contains RVTW. I think, but don't quote me, that it costs $49/year.
The morale is, posting reviews can be lucrative. It's a good move on their part too, Pour encourager les autres. If my HS French still works
I post things to help other campers know what they are in for not for money. It’s about helping out your fellow person. If everyone did that and did it just to be helpful, this world would be a special place
