However, Jojoba Hillls Escapees CoOp is equidistant to LA and Sand Diego roughly and you can lease a lot there. It is gorgeous and I hate desert locales. Here is their website. they have strorage there for members too. I would check them out and see if they meet your needs. https://jojobahills.com/cms/amenities/

That park is awesome, but there is a waiting list.

I put masking tape on slide wiper seal. applied to it. So about 2ish inches not covered. Really not concened about that. That is not edpm. It is in great shape. Our roof was in bad shape. Black was showing in spots. This Slouth Texas heat really worked on it. Pretty and white now.

    Updates?

We used to have a Class A coach and we had the extend-a-stay type adapter to use an external propane tank, so I am well aware of how that works. We have now moved to a Class B and there is an issue with the onboard LP tank not filling. It will take ordering a new tank to fix that problem. In the meantime, we would like to use the van. The onboard tank is well hidden under the van with a remote fill, so not possible/easy to use the extend-a-stay approach. There is an external quick-connect fitting for attaching a grill. So, I am thinking about hauling around a 5 gallon LP tank that I would set out and attach to the van when camping. It seems that I could use a regulator and attach this to the grill quick-connect. However, I do not know if there are any one-way valves that would prevent this and I do not know what it would do when it hit the "wrong side" of the regulator. Any experience or thoughts appreciated.

    Thanks

If you are just using it for grilling, why is there a need to tap it into the existing system? My Weber Q came with a regulator, which I had to remove as I have a quick disconnect under the rig, which is regulated.

There is no such thing as an anti-theft device.  There are only devices that deter or slow down an item being stolen.

There are lots of products that hook to ball, goose, or 5th wheel hitches that would slow down a determined thief or deter a "target of opportunity"

I agree completely. My boss when I was young said, locks keep honest people honest.

  5. I just bought an adapter, Apple Lightning to Digital AV HDMI Adapter for iPhone iPad MD826AM/A.

I tested it out and it works. But some apps make is so your can’t watch it on anything but where the app is. Maybe you can get a Firestick and load the app on there?

One of the fellows in the RV park was a bank finance officer and he dealt with loans for RV dealers to buy the RVs from the factory and also buyer financing for the dealers.  He said typical dealer cost is 37% below MSRP and then you have dealer kick back for sales volume.  So the dealers have lots of room to negotiate.

Nothing wrong with a dealer making money. They have rent, payroll, insurance ect..... Unless it says United Way dealer, they are there to make $$. The word profit should not be a dirty word.
Can you imagine if you had to buy from the manufacture and had to back there for any service? That’s when a dealer network comes in handy.

The park is great!  You didn't say when you're going but activities might not be held due to Covid.  Contact the park to get updated rental info.  Enjoy your stay!

Most everything is shut down still. I can play Pickle-ball as they have an outside court. The drive seems really far into the park. Am I mapping that wrong or missing something? Going to be there in a month. Should be Spring time in the park then.

I was there in about late April 1999 and stayed in the "boondocks" which was just on the asphalt  but such a beautiful park  and so near the clubhouse with showers it was fine. The people there then were all fantastic. Of course  that was over 20yrs ago.  With covid they might not have the clubhouse open and I would check with them to make sure they are allowing outside travelers in. I am educated remembering and may have been even the first of May but my point was they had a pretty good snow storm and they were not letting people in the park without snow chains. I lucked out a little in that I got in on the last day before I had to leave so I got to do mostly a limited drive through. I did hike up to one of the famous trees that wasn't a long trail that took much time. I would say if you are there long enough and the weather cooperates it is a reasonable way to access the park.  Like a lot of places now with more people rving it could be a lot more traffic than when I was there and I would keep that in mind.  I am sure you will get other replies with more up to date information but this is at least my experience and might be useful.

    Thanks.

  9. Looking to stay at the SKP Park Sierra to visit Yosemite. How is this location? How is AT&T or Verizon cell service? Routing says it is 1:50 minutes to Yosemite falls. Thanks for any hints or advice.

  10. Why not call the lean holder and ask them what is the best way to proceed? See if you can get the paper work overnighted. This way you can go to the sellers area check out the rig. Ask for a signed title from them and give them the funds minus the Pay Off. When you get the pay off from the lender, ask how much per day in interest it is after a certain $$ date that you ask for. Unless you have a clean title, you will not be able to register it.

Lots of people seem to use a wire transfer, probably easier to setup

Wiring them money does not seem to be the issue. It sounds to me that they want to make sure that they don’t take their $$$$ and do not give a clean title. So I suspect that is why they asked about an escrow company.

I posted this in another RV forum.  Looking for input.

OK, the loan is approved and now it's time for insurance. I am currently with Progressive for the following:

    1. 2016 Ford F350 truck
    2. 2018 Nissan Armada
    3. 2016 Grand Design 313RLTS
    4. 2016 SeaDoo 165 GTi
    5. 2012 Bennington 24SSL

We are full-timing, new fifth wheel arriving mid-October. Clean driving record, great FICO score, based in FL (really). Who would you guys recommend going with? I'm not married to Progressive by any means.

Should I consider an independent agent?

Just start calling around. Just make sure that you are getting quotes on the same coverage amounts and deductedables.
