  2. We’re work camping at Henrys Lake Park in Island Park, Idaho. They are looking for a few volunteers and seasonal employees. Volunteers only work 24 hours (3-8hour days per week). Seasonal s work 32-to-40-hour week. We have a fantastic team this year, and an easy to get along with ranger. They are looking for, camp host, maintenance, and kiosk. In exchange you get a full hook 50 amp up site. Henrys Lake is one of the best fishing lakes in Idaho, with lots of other places to fish in the area. It’s located 15 miles outside the West Yellowstone entrance. At 6500 feet elevation the weather is great, warm days with highs in the mid-80s and cool nights. Bring your toys, boat, kayak, bikes, and ATV/UTV there are lots of trails and water to play in. Message us here.
  3. I have. And the Escapade volunteers did a good job. But a guy at one of the Escapee Co-ops did a terrible job. As have I. I'm not a good director. I have the hand movements down but my geometry skills are lacking. Linda
  4. Well at least you got all the "Goody" out of that belt. Did you buy two so you would have a spare for the next time? Rod
  5. I was wondering that too. It looks really cramped. All the ones I've worked with passed the stem through the normal wheel opening. I don't think I've ever seen a wheel setup like that. Jay
  6. Electric floor heating pads need a subfloor on top of them. The elements will telegraph through the epoxy.
  7. Tough to tell from the pics. Tire shop visit time.
  8. That would indicate some setting issue with the iPad. That is about the limit of my iPad knowledge. 🤪
  9. Does he know that it is in an RV? I just had an interesting delivery experience where they almost did not deliver when they found out it was an RV.
  10. I had a similar problem due to the included vpn and another browser
  11. For some reason, I can't reply from my old iPad, but I can from my laptop
  12. I don't know if metal stems are compatible with these wheels.
  13. Just a good reminder to do those pre trip inspections. I did my pre trip and found that the fan belt looked rough and I said to myself I will get one when I quit for lunch and put it on at the end of the day. Part of that was true. I did go get a belt at lunch time. That was all the longer it lasted. The belt shredded and the engine immediately overheated. I had to call someone to come get me, Go to town. Get a belt. Have lunch then go back home. Get the service truck and drive all the way out to where I was broke down. Lucky I was able to coast to one of our farm fields and pull in there. The little voice in the back of my head was saying change it now before you start but I said it'll last another day we got work to do.
  14. I don't think you would want to be putting valve stem sensors on rubber valve stems. They are definitely going to move around with the extra weight on them. If you get a chance, you might want to change them out to metal stems. I always use metal stems on anything larger than a car. Jay
  15. On my recent trip I stole the tire monitors off my work truck and put it on my trailer and HDT. I didn't reprogram anything so I had a constant low pressure warning on the drive tires because I only run 80 psi. I also had to scroll past unused tires. Other than that worked great. When I got home and switched everything back I noticed marks on the rims where the tire monitors flexed on the rubber valve stems. I don't know if this is something to worry about or not. One other funny thing happened. I had the monitor in the trailer charging one night and it started going off. I thought I had a slow leak in a tire. It showed an extremely hight tire temperature. We had been parked for 2 days and the tire in question was in the shade. Just a glitch I guess. I took it off the tire and reinstalled it. Then it went back to normal.
  16. Latest update. Found that the "Torginol" company still is in business, but only to provide the "Paint Chips". The person I spoke with probably wasn't born when I first learned about the flooring and said they never did the epoxy. Suggested a local "Sherwin Williams" who would be able to provide the products necessary. Placed a call to a store in the city I'm currently parked in and sure enough, they have either a DYI product or a "Better" product that only professionals are allowed to purchase and a "Painter" who has been recommended to my by several friends and relatives was one of those professionals. Gave him a call, sent a couple photos and he gave me a price I could accept. Hope it doesn't change after he actually sees the space. I felt confident enough and actually had to remove the existing floor covering. It started out easy, got quite a bit more difficult (to the point where I contacted the installer if they could just apply the epoxy over the tiles). Nope, but after I got through what I assume was a seam where they used some sort of leveler or additional adhesive a good portion of the tiles came out almost whole. A few though has some good chunks of plywood on them. Here is what the entry door looks like. Some staining to the right of the door, but the wood seems good. The furnace register is no longer used and will be removed. I am thinking about putting a section of electric floor heating under the epoxy from the door to the wall across and another section maybe under the plywood I remove from the garage door area. The hole. I think I will cut out about 24 inches across the area from the door forward to replace. The other corner with the rusty hardware from condensation from the metal fasteners going through the entire door. A bit of staining and the screws holding the aluminum "Threshold" were not very secure. Sorry about the awful camera work. I don't record things very often and I don't do retakes, what you see is what you get. Comments on the electric heat pads appreciated. I hope the "Painter" either calls or emails me about my questions and I can see if it's ever been done by their company. So far it's only Texting and I'm not a fan of typing on my phone. Rod
  17. It is quite apparent that you have never attended a large RV rally where they are parking hundreds of RVs per hour and all with volunteers. David, good to hear that you got there. It wouldn't hurt for you to pass your comments to the parking team leaders. One disadvantage to being one of the early arrivals at an Escapade is that the parking & security teams are both made up of volunteers and many of them are in their first experience doing their jobs so are just learning. The new members of the two teams that you are directed by have only been part of them for 1 day prior to your Friday arrival so they are just learning their jobs and the team leaders are still working out kinks and relocating people based on how they do in assigned jobs. The teams are assembled on Wednesday, then on Thursday they are taught the jobs as the majority of the Escapade staff arrive as well as most of the vendors. By Friday they have most kinks worked out but rarely all of them but by the end of the day they are ready for the Saturday & Sunday rush. Typical numbers are about 100 - 150 RVs parked on Thursday, 300 - 400 RVs to park on Saturday, and 250 - 300 on Sunday. The parking crew work from 7 am until 2 pm on Thursday, Friday and Saturday and from 7 am until noon on Sunday. The parking team has about 20 - 25 people and are the largest of the volunteer teams at Escapade. The last time that Escapade was in WY we had more than 900 RVs parked by opening time on Sunday and we were under covid restrictions so only used 2 of the three campgrounds. I would suspect that they will park something over 1000 RVs this year, with most of them in 3 days and all done with volunteers.
  18. Most of us quickly learn that it doesn't matter how many parking directors you have; you pick one to follow and ignore the rest. Although, I'll admit to even ignoring the one when he doesn't seem to know what he's doing.
  19. We arrived this morning, got parked and registered. Lots of very friendly people, as we expected. Probably the biggest hitch was actually parking in our spot. Three guys and my wife were all trying to direct me into the spot. Later I watched two guys parking a motorhome. The one at the back of the motorhome gave a direction to move one way while the one in front gave a different direction. I haven't seen any damage or heard of anyone being run over, but there should be only one person giving the driver directions. If others are needed as spotters they should be communicating with the person giving the directions, not trying to give directions themselves.
