If you haven’t checked yours recently, it is time to pull the pin. I pulled mine to bleed my brakes and it didn’t work. They are cheap and easy to replace.

You need to check your breakaway and make sure that it works at least twice a year. Even better, try it before every trip. If it hadn't been for ours working correctly, I could have injured a lot people last year when our trailer dropped.

One time a granddaughter pulled the cable hanging down from the 5er, unbeknown to me. Next morning I discovered my house batteries were ruined and the breakaway box melted. That was the only time it was ever pulled in 8 years.

That was a newbie mistake by us also. Don't do that but once. We don't have a cable anymore.
