vacationer Posted February 22, 2023 Report Share Posted February 22, 2023 Hi i was watching a you tube from a hdt rally and they showed i guy with a pete that had a bw hitch sitting on his fifth wheel sliding plate Can i use that for a temporary period of time. Or does every one have air ride hitches. Air ride hitches aren't mandatory, but they give a better ride to the fiver and help protect it. Plus, it's a more comfortable ride for the people passengers. GlennWest Posted February 22, 2023 Report Share Posted February 22, 2023 If your fifth wheel has air ride hitch it would likely be good. I have used one on my previous DRV and a dually. It floated right along. Now preferred way is air ride on truck. And a ET hitch would be easier to mount also. It comes in from behind between the frame rails and bolts in. Run an air line and you set. If you put a B&W on it would be too tall on top of rails. You would need to weld in a plate lower and mount to it.
