XMAN
HELP! Anyone know of a shop that aligns TT wheels. Hopefully in the south or southwest. After an axle broke off and was repaired my tires (double axle trailer) wear out on the inside very fast.
Star Dreamer
I have a list that Morryde suggested for alignments and they show a few in AZ, TX, FL a couple in NM, and in other Southern States. Where will you be near and I can let you know which ones it shows. LindaH
You might want to change the title of your post to something that describes what your post is about rather than using your user name. After an axle broke off and was repaired my tires (double axle trailer) wear out on the inside very fast. Wear on inside of tread only indicates incorrect camber. Are you sure the new axles are not installed upside-down? Trailer axles have a crown in them from the factory. As load is increased the crown flattens somewhat. reference: https://blog.easternmarine.com/trailer-axle-camber-what-its-all-about/ Quote 2000 Winnebago Ultimate Freedom USQ40JD, ISC 8.3 Cummins 350, Spartan MM Chassis. VC 23RSS
Can you even align axles? A single wheel torsion axle probably but my Dexter Tandems sure don't appear to have any way to adust caster or toe. I think @Ray,IN knows what happened. XMAN
Star Dreamer, thanks but I see you drive one of those SUPER rigs, mine's just a 24ft travel trailer. I found a couple of shops that do semis but 14in. wheels are just too small for them. Still, I'm in Florida and if you have info on such I'd very much appreciate it. I believe part of the problem is axle alignment, the 2 are not exactly parallel to each other and maybe not even perpendicular to the frame. Kirk W
The service people at an RV dealership might be able to help you find a place to do it. XMAN
No Ray, the new axle was installed right, BUT, I believe the new hanger may be off from where it's supposed to be. Linda thanks, I'm new at this although I've been a member for years.

In FL this is the list that they had: Horton Truck Service in Jacksonville Power Brake and Suspension in FT Lauderdale Tampa Spring Co in Ocala and in Tampa Josam in Orlando. I would probably lean towards the Tampa Spring Company places.
