Chris Wanaka
Hi Everyone, We have plans to buy a 5th wheeler here in the USA, and export it to New Zealand. It would need to be modified to New Zealand specifications before it was able to be used on NZ roads. I understand Forest River does this from new (left hand entry door, 240 volt electrics etc.), however as we want to broaden our selection choice, does anyone know of other USA manufacturers that do this OR of any companies that converts them to foreign specifications (from new or used). Appreciate your advice and help. Chris
SWharton
I would think one of the custom companies would. New Horizons comes to mind, there are others.
Chad Heiser
Americana RV used to build Australian spec trailers (I’m assuming these would be similar or the same as New Zealand spec’s). I haven’t checked in a while to see if they still do. Check out their website or give them a call. Star Dreamer
If you are looking for a toy hauler, check with Casey at Dune Sport RV in Mesa, AZ. They do custom builds and if the parts are available (you might need to ship them to them or advise what you want) they may be able to build it. They can put doors on both sides if you want. 2gypsies
Are you staying in New Zealand? Why buy a new one here and ship it over? I would assume they sell RVs there, also. RVs sold in other countries are better made than here, for the most part and you wouldn't have to spend extra money for 're-dos'. fly2low
I've driven through much of New Zealand. Can't imagine driving with a typical US trailer there Quote Rich and Carol 2007 Dynamax DQ 340 XL
