Starting to look for an upper fairing

Brad & Jacolyn

Recommended Posts

Good Morning,

Where would you gentlemen out there start looking for a used replacement fairing. I won't go into the story but I need to find the upper passenger side fairing on my  2004 Volvo 630. Right now I'm in CT. for a couple of months. I will probably check if the fiberglass can be repaired but I am doubtful.

Thanks.

Depending on how bad its damaged, it can be fixed. Depending on what part of Ct you are in,  could give you suggestions on where to take it. They could give you quotes to repair or replace.

I'm in Andover, CT. Close to Hartford. Suggestions welcome. Thanks.

Anyone want to bet on who was NOT driving? :P

Don't tell Brad but I'm betting it wasn't Jacolyn.

Oh you are close to some old friends. Go to Coventry Collision and ask for Bruce or Steve and tell them Walter with PPG sent you. Great people and can fix just about anything. And if they cant fix it, they will know where to get a good used one and paint to match your truck

Thank you guys. I'll start working on that next week after the 5er goes to the paint shop.

Yes Phil, I was driving (or backing) when it happened.

Brad, it is pretty easy to repair the upper section if it is not totally snapped off. There comes a point where it is best to start with another one - to me that point is if the top is in several pieces. But simple impact damage is pretty easy to fix - as others have said. I've had the "opportunity" to see these repairs - and even something that looks terrible is not too bad to repair.
