SWharton
Does anyone know of a calendar app that doesn't change time zones automatically. I make appts, schedule things on Eastern time, as I change time zones Google Calendar changes the times and messes everything up. Doc. appt. I schedule for 2 PM is changed to 12N. I have gotten to the point of putting the actual time into the entry. Our daughter sends us the soccer schedule(lives in Phoenix) and google Calendar changes the times to the east coast. I just want a calendar that when I put in a time it stays at that time and when someone f rom another time zone sends me a calendar entry that entry stays in the originating time zone. Like my old fashioned paper calendar. I have not been able to find any option that turns this off and find a lot of complaints about the changing time zone on line. SWharton
I just checked and I don't have that option. I have a list of all the time zones available only. I am on a PC.
SWharton
Thinking about this option I don;t think it would help, even if I had it When we get the soccer schedule I want to keep the times in the original time zone, not switch to Eastern. I need an ignore time zone option. Thanks
mike54
Create an event with a different time zone Open Google Calendar. In the top left corner, click Create. Next to the time for the event, click Time zone. Pick the time zone for the event. When you're ready to create the event, click Done. SWharton
The use device time is only available on the phone, not the PC. Now I just need to get the phone to stop switching timezones and maybe things will work better Thanks
Chalkie
Your phone is going to change time to whatever the network time is. But like mike54 said above, you can tell Google Calendar to not change time zones as the phone does.
SWharton
I found an option on the phone to turn off auto update for time. I turned it off. I'll try getting something from my daughters calendar tomorrow and see what happens.
SWharton
I believe turning off auto time zone update solved the ptoblem. Can't verify. Internet is down but looks good on phone.
