SuiteSuccess
While working on my trailer brakes removed my wheels and hubs. On two, the wheel was "stuck" to the hub requiring removing the whole thing as a unit then busting loose with mallet and wooden blocks. On suggestion at ECR couple years ago used copper antisieze between the wheel and hub but that's obviously not working. Any thin material sheets or other suggestions for the future? Can see trying to change a tire on the side of the road and having to remove the whole fused unit--what a pain, plus extremely heavy. 2006 Volvo 780 "Hoss" Volvo D12, 465hp, 1650 ft/lbs tq., ultrashift Bed Build by "JW Morgan's Custom Welding" 2017 DRV 39DBRS3 2013 Smart Passion Coupe "Itty Bitty" "Don't go around saying the world owes you a living. Refuzn-To-Grow-Up
When I had my rear tires replaced, I noticed that there was some type of thin disk placed between the wheels. When I asked the mechanic what it was, he said it keeps the wheels from getting stuck together. Maybe someone who works on HDT's know what this disk was made from.
