MsChrissi
Crawled under, jiggled wires, topped off master cylinder, replaced drag link. Test drove to get error code for which wheel ABS was malfunctioning, light went out. ugh. Was very careful to get drag link length right or so we thought, damn steering wheel off center. On the newer trucks if you recenter the steering at the linkage you can cause an ABS error. You have to recalibrate things (Volvo alone can do it). It has to do with VEST. I don't think you have all that, but something to consider for others. If you replace the U Joint in your steering shaft and let the wheel move AT ALL, you are pretty much doomed. Also, if you have really bad front shocks it can cause so much trauma to the front end that your ABS (sensor) can be affected. You will get a code for that position. Does not happen often, but also something to consider if you have looked at the obvious. Jack & Danielle Mayer #60376 Lifetime Member Living on the road since 2000PLEASE no PM's. HERO Maker
MsChrissi, I can't help you out because I didn't get under the truck last year to see what the problem was. It just corrected itself on its own. Maybe it didn't like the fact that it had been bobtail for way to long thru 14 states, and that we hitched up to our new-to-us fiver when we got to Colorado! Never had another issue with it. Rocky & Sheri Rhoades '01 Volvo 770 2016 DRV Mobile Suites, HoustonHERO Makers Ministry
MsChrissi
We'll chalk it up to gremlins, now on to fix the AC... stopped working, compressor does not engage and in the HHRG though it mentions grounding a signal wire going to the compressor and even shows a diagram it still does not say WHICH WIRE... kind of like instructions for diffusing a bomb and not including page 2 don't you think?...ugh!
