chiefneon
Howdy! We went and looked at the new 2016 Smart Car yesterday. Very much liked what they've done to the new one. So we traded our 2012 Passon in for a new 2016 Prime. It is a step above the old one but the entire car has improved. From he body style of the overall proforance. The extra 4 inches in the width makes for more comfort inside. The ride is much improved and a pleasure, not stiff and harsh as before. The new engine with turbo and six speed trasmission make for nice driving. This new Smart Car I believe is daylight and dark Compared to our previous one in comfort, ride and proforance. The new blue tooth so a game changer also. Still learning how to use all the new whistles and bells. "Happy Trails" Chiefneon

GeorgiaHybrid
We plan on ordering ours in a few months, the new dual clutch 6 speed was the game changer on this model.
dewilso
Is it a true automatic transmission yet ?
GeorgiaHybrid
Not a true automatic but with dual clutches, the shifts happen just like a regular auto. The only thing you will notice is when starting out. It will still roll just like any other clutch equipped car. After that, it is a LOT smoother driving than the older model. mike625
how are you going to be pulling it behind the motorhome - 4 wheel down or trailer - just purchased 5 speed manual and have read many pro / cons on both options
GeorgiaHybrid
Most of us with a Smart have it on the deck of our HDT's behind the cab and in front of the fifth wheel. Never have seen one behind a MH.
