Wrknrvr
Has anyone traveled on from I-15 north of Las Vegas on hwy 169, 167,147 and on to Henderson Nevada. Maybe even stop at the Valley of Fire state park on that route. Safe Travels. Vern
Dollytrolley
Wrk......go for it....It's nice country and often not overrun with too many folks.... A bit farther up the trail is the Hurricane UT area that is very nice country to explore as well...... As you climb up in elevation this time of year it can tend to get a bit cooler but you can always back-track back to sin-city to warm up and throw-away some spare $$$ Drive on.........(Enjoy the Valley of Fire.......) LindaH
We travel those roads frequently...they're all good. It's been many years since we've been to Valley of Fire State Park...we usually boondock at a free area in Lake Mead NRA...but it's a beautiful area. Depending on where in Henderson you plan on going, instead of heading west on 147, you might consider continuing straight on 169 (Northshore Drive) to 564, Lake Mead Blvd. (the southern one...147 is also called Lake Mead Blvd., but it's farther north). 564 takes you through the western Lake Mead NRA entrance on into Henderson at Boulder Highway. Continuing west on this road across Boulder Highway, will get you on I-215. We frequent this area of Henderson a lot when we're in the area, so are pretty familiar with it. Wrknrvr
looking for a way to travel east of Las Vegas to Henderson and eventually to the the North Ranch in Congress. I do not like interstates and had to open the hood on our Volvo yesterday afternoon. Boon docked yesterday along 93. Hopefully it is fixed, but rather not have to stop along an interstate. We are 73' long so that is what the question is for traveling that way. Safe Travels, Vern
