Jim Gell
I saw an ad from a Cleveland, OH car dealer with several redesigned for 2016 smarts in stock. If I had time to waste I would go take a test drive. Cathy and I like our 2011 enough that we can't justify an upgrade now, but I like to look. Maybe someone will bring their new 2016 to the rally. 2001 Volvo 770, Detroit 60 Series, Gen 2 Autoshift Passenger assist elevator to enter cab - for when we need it, or sell it? Big5er
I'm like you, when I get some "free" time I may run test drive one but I think most of the current owners will probably stick with what they have. If they are like me, the bed was built to accommodate the '08-15 width. The extra 4 inches of width would require me to have some major modifications done to the bed. That's why I traded off the '09 and bought the '14. It's new enough that it will last me for years. I have had it for almost 18 months, and thanks to having a take home county issued vehicle, the smart only has about 4400 miles on it. At that rate I will retire with less than 9000 miles on the smart. HERO Maker
Yeah, I need to work for the government! After crashing my '13 smart and replacing it last November with a "used" (3 tanks of gas through it) 2015, we already are setting an appointment while in KS for its 10,000 mile oil change..... Oh well. We obviously like driving it, and its a kick in the foothills as well as the big cities. Jim Gell
I am amazed we put over 10K on ours in the first year. I just added a bike rack to our trailers pin box, but I think our bed will still accommodate the wider smart. It's the wallet that feels too thin right now with recent stock market declines.
