dsimpson
On our way through Texas, we will be stopping in Amarillo for a few days and I need to get my pickup and fifthwheel inspected. Can anyone recommend a inspection station in Amarillo? My Rig
Kirk W
Try the TX-DOT listings Good travelin !...............KirkFull-time 11+ years...... Now seasonal travelers.Kirk & Pam's Great RV Adventure
Barbaraok
Problem with the Tx-DOT listings is that they don't tell you which ones will do RVs - especially motorhomes. So you are left with having to call a lot of places and hope that the person who is telling you sure, we do RVs actually knows what they are talking about and that they have room to do it. jperry29
Call the folks at Jack Sizemore Traveland ((806) 358-4891) and see who they recommend. They are a large RV dealership in Amarillo and should know. And if you have time, you should even stop by there and visit the RV Museum. They have some great, old stuff in there, including the Flex Bus from the movie RV. 2012 New Horizons Majestic | 2022 F-550 W/Classy Chassis Hauler Bed Full Time Class of 2012 | Escapee #98787 BLOG: www.CuRVWander.blogspot.com http://tickers.TickerFactory.com/ezt/d/4;10757;450/st/20120615/e/Begin+Fulltiming/k/f42e/s-event.png
Mike and Claudia
Doug: I get my MH inspected in Canyon, 20 miles south of Amarillo at the Goodyear store between 7th and 8th Avenue ( I believe) on 23rd Street, the road you come in on from Amarillo. They are in and out, no hassle. Just make sure you have your insurance papers. It generally takes 10 minutes. It might be worth the trip to be without the problem of "knit-picking". We will be staying at Palo Duro State Park so this would be good place to have it done. Thanks. My Rig
