fredcrowley
We are first year full-timers in a 5th wheel that evidently needs to be inspected prior to renewing the Texas registration . We are at the other end of the country. Can a travel trailer inspection be done out of state and then send that inspection report to the County Tax Assessor with the renewal forms and fees? The alternative is a 2000 mile round-trip for a 15 minute inspection. Comments, suggestions? Thanks
TreyandSusan
You will be able to do what they call self-certify Go to the twostepsonesticker.com motorists page and then down to the Special Circumstances section. There you will see the explanation of the process. You will need to contact the county where you are registered - County Offices Contact Information Do not be surprise when the person on the phone does not know what you are talking about. Be prepared and be ready to be patient. This is new to them and something that rarely happens for them so they will likely need to talk to a supervisor. The term is self-certify Susan & Trey Selman | email | HDT: '01 770 VED12 | 5er: '02 40' Travel Supreme RLTSOA | '16 Piaggio MP3 500 | '15 Smart Cabrio | Personal Blog | HHRV Resource Guide | HHRV Campgrounds | Recreation Vehicle Safety & Education Foundation |

fredcrowley
Thanks folks, but that doesn't address the problem, The "two steps one sticker program" applies to motorized vehicles. Not applicable to a 5th wheel registration renewal.
