A veteran friend who, like myself has a son that is a veteran of the recent middle eastern combat chose to share this story with me. The story comes from Warrior Lodge is a translation of a report by a member the French military who served in Afghanistan with our troops. It is worth the time to read!

I was not surprised by this article. My godson (nephew) served in Iraq and Afghanistan and we have heard many of these same stories from him. I would like to offer a hearty "Thank you" to all our courageous men and women in uniform.

Thank you for that link Kirk. It is enlightening and good to know what that Frenchman thinks of our soldiers. Some of his comments touched on what drill sergeants teach in OSUT(used to be basic and AIT training) Army training.
