Deezl Smoke
I watched a couple videos on the origins of the motorhome and how the first mass produced rigs came to be. Now I see this craigslist ad near me and am tempted to call and have a look. If it is in good shape, it might be worth it just for the historic fun value. I'm a work'n on it. Kirk W
We know some folks who own one that they bought new in 1971 and they still own & use it some. It still looks pretty good, but has not been restored. Good travelin !...............KirkFull-time 11+ years...... Lou Schneider
That's definitely worthwhile as a collectible. Winnebago built relatively few motorhomes on the Ford chassis before switching over to Dodge.
wa_desert_rat
Winnebago has a subset of its travel club devoted to owners of the classic motor homes. My in-laws were Winnebago owners (several different models) and when we visited tham at rallies there was always a separate group of the oldies parked nearby. I love the looks but have my hands full with just my '93 model (not Winnebago). That looks like a terrific coach. Deezl Smoke
Yep. Woke up this morning and first thing went to see if it were still for sale. But, as noted, it has been sold. And that was really a quick sale. The price was sure right for someone. I'm a work'n on it.
Kirk W
Look at it this way. Perhaps it wasn't as good as it looked, with hidden problems and now it won't be your headache....... Even if that wasn't the case it probably saves you money for the other guy to buy it. Good travelin !...............KirkFull-time 11+ years......
