The Class-less Class

Sandie & Jim

Recommended Posts

Great news about Diane. Jim has his cancer scan in a couple of weeks and we can totally relate to the stress that goes along with that.

They don't have pollen in AZ do they?!! - Sorry Roger. Pollen is horrible in AZ. All those folks who have moved here from somewhere else want AZ to look like where they came from. So they have imported all these trees and plants that don't really belong in the desert. We had a little rain this week-end which helped keep the pollen count down for a few days.

Happy Mother's Day.

Great news Diane! Dave went to the dermatologist this week for a 3-month checkup on his latest skin cancer removals. They took a biopsy of a new one buried in his beard. So we are back in the waiting game. At least his have all been minor enough to be able to do Mohs surgery to remove them with no other treatments required. I hope this one is benign because he'll have to shave his beard if not and I suspect his skin is not any less sensitive than it was when he decided to grow a beard in the first place. But, bandages do NOT stick to beards. We proved that once again this week.

Terry is cancer-free after 6 years. Our fingers are crossed it continues for 6 more and then 6 more and so on.

Terry's mom had the Mohs surgery last year on cancer on her nose and under her eye.. They had to go back four times to get it all but it worked as planned and other than a bit of restructuring, no other treatments for cancer in those areas were needed.

Good luck to Dave and we're glad for Diane.

Great to here the good news of Diane. I know how good she must feel. I had two cancers Kidney and saliva gland and went through 10 follow up for each. You'd think I was used to it but now I worry about number 3 and I shouldn't cause I wouldn't live that long anyway. I'm ready to start looking for how good I'll feel when I get past the horrible tasting medicine. It makes water taste bad. It emphasis the taste of chlorine. I've started using reverse osmosis water to make coffee drinkable. I still really don't like it but have to drink something to keep from dehydration. I'm half way through the dose. One of the meds is out and it was really making things taste bad.

Get out there a learn the stars. There is so much light pollution in Charleston I'll never see them again.

Yay! It's a benign but irritated mole. The beard stays. But, the irritation may be from the most recent trimming so he'll have to decide how short to trim his beard when his next exam time comes. Since that's the only restructuring from this one we're both happy with that.

It's great hearing of these cancer recovery stories. I remember when the diagnosis outcome was less optimistic. Amazing what they can do these days...good or bad!

Steve and Carol, how're you guys doin' down in OK? we cringe every time they show a twister there in the news... :o

Well Roger, so far we've been in the right place when the storms went through. Yesterday the one storm formed just West of us and went over us before it got really going. The bad ones were about 30 miles south of us. Tomorrow it seems we'll have another round. Weather is not hot enough yet to cancel these things out. Whew!

I'm sure glad to hear about all of the positives on the cancer tests. I had a mole taken off my face last week and it was benign also so I guess we are all batting 1000!

Heyduke, let us know what day you're coming through and we'll run all the tornados back in the pen and hold them till you make it through. Or come by and see us at the Cleveland County Fairgrounds In Norman if you have time.

Same here Dave. So glad to hear the great news about Diane!

Writing this and waiting for the storm to hit. Gonna be another wet week according to the weather guessers. At least it should knock the pollen level down a bit. I've never been bothered by the lil' buggers before but ever since Jan. in Texas we've been following the pollen season north. They don't have pollen in AZ do they?!!

Probably be a couple of weeks before we make it thru there - if we pass thru OKC we will probably stay at the fairgrounds - will let you know. When do you plan on leaving there?

The Cracker Barrel in Norman, OK, is not fond of RVers. They think we come in after dinner and stay in their lot then leave before breakfast. I met a friend there for dinner and stayed all night but I went to the Waffle House next door for breakfast because that's my last Waffle House stop on my way north.

We'll be here for another month or so, so come on down there's always room at the fairgrounds. Maybe not full hook ups, but a number of 30A & water and 50A & water. There is one broken site (electric doesn't work), that can be used for dumping so no problem there.

For some reason I'm not getting the email notices of post on the classless class. I wonder what happened. I'll have to take a look and see. Maybe its just that I have a lot of trouble hearing now. Specially when a girl with a high pitched voice is calling me. One of the little girls at the clinic is that way. I can't understand a single word she says. when I figure out its her speaking I just say I can't understand you but I'll be there tomorrow at xx o'clock.

well my nephew is on his way again. I told him to take his time. He wants to see Mt Rushmore now that he is so close. His weather seems ok although a little cool. Low 30s nights and low 60s days. I warned him to keep close tabs on the weather on his way down I-25. I hope he pays attention.

It can be 80 one day and snow the next. I left Lions Head on the Idaho border once on August 23rd. I had to break 8 inches of snow all the way into West Yellowstone. I was pulling my trailer with my wife (before she was) following behind me asking why I was so slow. That little 307 chevy was doing

all it could.

Keep up the good Med reports.

Our last day in Yuma and it's suppose to be 102 degrees. Tomorrow moving to Tempe for 2 weeks and it's a little hotter there. Had a good week here. Both of us had good check ups at the dentist in Algodones and Tina got glasses there too. We've washed and waxed the rv and rode our bikes and made a daily visit to the dog park with Cali. Wow can that dog run. Also had to eat a In-N-Out burger yesterday for lunch.

Lee you sound pretty good and like Lee said " Keep up the good med reports".

Be safe everyone.

And they told a whopper. Supposed to be rainy and chilly. It's hot and sunny. I say it that way because I am too tired to convert from C to F.

102!!! I turned the fan un just reading that. Time to move a little farther north than Tempe, but Tempe is a fun town. We loved the Piano BAr there and the pub called the Library on a Friday night with all the college kids LOL!!! .

If the Granddaughter wasn't graduating high school next week we wouldn't be here, My outdoor thermometer is showing 103.6 in the shade. Weather channel says 101. The rear AC is making funny noises trying to cool things down. But it's a dry heat thank goodness. LOL!

It's been in the 70's & 80's here in Southern Oregon so about perfect. Some off & on again sprinkles today so far. Might be a lazy day inside.

Phoenix was great when we first arrived. Temps in the low 80's but it didn't last. The low hundreds rolled around. Now we're back in the PNW. Friday was in the 80's but now we have a little wet sunshine. I like it to rain on the weekends. It keeps folks away. Sun should return tomorrow .......

105* here in Havasu today, but slurping drinks while floating in the pool makes it feel a whole lot cooler :)

You need to add a water fountain or mister system to enjoy your drinks. Splashing water on yourself to stay cool interferes with drinking!!!! Stay cool, 105 is hot, dry heat or not..

I can get it to rain where ever we go. I washed the Jeep yesterday and it rained here in Phoenix last night after the dust blew in. LOL It wasn't that much rain just enough to mess with the wash job.

We met Jim and Sandie for lunch today. Great to see them again and lot of good conversation.
