Wanderin
So the storms we get here just mess up you head and scramble your brains. But no wind, rain, lightning or thunder. Come on over and we'll go to the adobe Deli for lunch and make up some juicy stories about the rest of the classless members. That is if you still trust riding with me after last night's ordeal. We had to find propane connections today. In a small town that's a little difficult but we managed. Once this nasty storm passes over we'll continue our trek west. It's a big one and we don't travel in high winds, hail or tornadoes. Eventually we'll arrive in Deming but it'll be a few weeks and much sooner than we originally thought. Travel does that to us. Roger & Lynn
Oh no! You're going to get it too? I'm really tired of running from storms and worrying about damage. We'll have it in sections going through bits at a time possibly until Friday. No more gulf life for me. Next time I'll leave the driving to the pilots if I want to visit Florida or this area. palamine
Well our 183 days in the USA is done. We are back in Canada now until September. We will not miss the political crap on tv. We will miss all of you. We will not miss $1.34 Canadian for every $1.00 US. We will miss sunshine and blue skies but they will be here soon enough. It was so nice to meet Joe's Sharon. We think she is a great match for our Joe. Thanks for the company you two. IYQ
I'm thinkin' the West is the best...it's AZ for us. You guys need to start listening to this senile old man. I tried to warn you before you headed east. Maybe you went through some of these brain storms before you headed east. Rule number one. You travel up and down, not east and west to compensate for the weather. So come on HOME we still love you. rmcf308
I'm thinkin' the West is the best...it's AZ for us. We will probably be out west next winter also. But I can't say that our stay in Florida has been bad except for traffic. Today we are in Key Largo area at the Elks with a beautiful view of the gulf out our front window. Temp in 70's with 10-16 MPH winds. Tomorrow we are moving to John Pennekamp state park for 5 days. Stay safe everyone. Lee- I think your truck would look good painted pink. You're telling our secrets? I have a stash of purses and I just bought another one when we were in Orlando. I think I found another brand I like! Thanks to both of you it's now time to start another diet. I hate this. It seems every spring I have to think about a diet. I lose weight in the summer and then I meet up with the RVing friends and they contribute to weight gains. It's a bad crowd. IYQ
You don't really loose weight. You alway find it again. I finally got my tax forms sent in. I lost money on just about every investment but had the biggest tax bill I've had in years. Don't seem fair. I've always been able to stay in the 15% tax bracket. This year I'm in the 30% bracket. Grrrrrrr it even made my estimated quarterly tax payments for this year larger. The fund managers sell a lot of stocks every time the market takes a nose dive and all the investers have to pay the capitol gains on every thing that was sold. I got my ears lowered today. The gal that cut my hair had to take care of her child while she worked today. I got the worse hair cut I've ever got from her. Keeping one eye on a kid while cutting hair just don't work. After the scalping party I went to Walmart for a couple grocery items and ended up with $120 worth. I must have been hungry while shopping. Or maybe I thought I needed all the bags to put over my head to hide the hair cut. Wanderin
You're right. I don't lose the weight. I just misplace it. I'm thinking your fund managers haven't heard of selling high. Low is for buying not selling. I hope you didn't tip the barber and complained. The good thing about a hair cut is that the hair does grow back. Onthego
Y'all in rain doing alright? Just been windy here in the Florida panhandle. Tried to walk and sit on the beach yesterday and got lightly sand blasted. Spring break time here, haven't seen many kids. Driving through Panama City today. They've really cracked down on the kids. A year ago yesterday we found (rescued/adopted) our pup while on our Baja trip. A high energy puppy for sure. Unfortunately for me 2 weeks ago I was laying on the couch and she wanted to play. I wasn't paying attention to her when she stuck her foot in my right eye. The cornea got scratched and there may be some retina damage. My vision isn't what it was before a little fuzzy with floaters and some light flashes. An eye doctor scraped the cornea last Friday because she didn't like the way it was healing and put in a contact for the weekend. Monday she took the contact out and said it looked good. We'll see the eye doctor that did my cataract surgery in a couple of weeks to see what she says. Bummer. Peyton retires, Brock leaves and goes to Houston. What will the Broncos do to repeat next year? I know this is a major concern for everyone. LOL. Travel safe everyone. We normally get as much s**w in March as we have the rest of the winter total. But it was a dry winter for us this year so I guess that would impact our weather too. steved44
Well, we pulled up the jacks today and moved 45 miles to Prescott Valley. Just got here and 3 or 4 of Carol's cousins called and we had to go to a mini family reunion. A great time was had by all and a nice round of cranberry juice and spaghetti followed it. We just got back to the Elks, and are gearing up to watch a OKC Thunder basketball game. Woo! Hoo! Terry must've installed rockets on your rig. One day Pensacola then before you know it Johnson City, Texas. Yikes. What's it like if you're in a hurry? I guess you fly. LOL. Tina and I went for a horseback ride yesterday. First time i've been on a horse in 25 years. I'm definitely not Roy Rogers. I made it the whole hour without incident. Then after lunch down by the beach took in a St. Patrick's day parade. Beach time hasn't been good while we've been on the coast this week. Red flag or double red flag every day. Going for a bike ride today along 30A today. Pensacola tomorrow. Travel safe everyone. IYQ
Who's that bow legged guy wearing chaps with a patch on his eye. I'll bet he didn't do much sitting the next day. Sorry about the accident with the eye Jeff. Hope it heals well. Does anyone have a buck to loan me for a cup of coffee. I still don't have that credit card that was compromized. I know it got to South Dakota and it was sent from there last Monday but I think the Indians got that pony Express rider. It still hasn't got here. I'll give it one more day and if it hasn't arrived I'll cancel it too and ask for another to be sent to the bank here in town for me to pick up. I can always get a temporary card from the bank here or just go draw out some more cash but it's getting me a little nervous. My cowgirls will be packing their bags If I don't take them to the Adobe Deli soon. I had a lot of experience with compromised cards when I worked for the bank. Doug's Visa card was compromised when we were in Yuma and I screwed up the code on my debit card. So we were down to one Visa card and one debit card in the end. We were very careful. It's a different thing for us Canadians who have no access to mail while we are in the states. I empathize. I know that we once had a replacement coffee carafe sent to a UPS store. Might think about it next time it happens. Our card was compromised twice. First time, we were working, and had the new one sent to us there. Second time we were in Tacoma and had the new card sent to our daughters house. We only use one credit card so for us it was important to get it asap. Quote Linda and Ed Lavinlavinmh@yahoo.com
