This place is about deserted. Now that Labor day has passed and all the people have gone back to their home. Maybe I will get a little more reliable internet. Trouble is I only have one more week and they will kick me out too.

Roger you better be careful. He'll take you up on that offer. You know how OLD men get.

It rained most of the afternoon. Time really passed slow. I set up my Coleman stove to fry up some burger and just verily got it put away again when the heavens opened up. Then I sat here and looked out the window the rest of the day. However I did get my estimated tax ready to send In tomorrow.

Well, thanks for all the birthday wishes. Jeri, you sounded fine, what key was that?? Roger, thanks, the "tab" is in the mail!! I keep trying to catch Lee, but he moves too fast. I guess I'll just have to bare, bear, barre ?? with it!!

I spent the day at the Denver Royals game (they lost), with Carol, my sister Karen, and my BIL Tom. Great weather and good food and drink. Nice to know I have many good friends in my old age. Woo! Hoo! Steve

Lee, gettin' there myself so, I'm countin' on an OLD man's memory skills!

Rained all day yesterday and calling for the same today here in Maine. Got about four inches. Good thing it wasn't a moving day. Several campers were going to leave but didn't due to the weather I guess. Watched several movies, finished a book and started another...my eyes are crossed and stuck!

Roger, I thought it rained a lot last year along the Oregon coast. I think we've seen a lot more rain this summer. We are in Farmington, Me. It started yesterday morning early and has let up a few times. We'll be moving again tomorrow, hope it stops before then. Just treading water.

But it will be SNOWING there before long.

Joe

I saw snow every month but July when I lived in the Denver area. Not in any hurry to see snow again. I've heard from family and friends living in Colorado about how dry it is. Well it's not dry here. Humidity is near 60% and the rain is coming again soon.

Not much going on here in Northern NM. This noon i went to Eagle Nest to mail my quarterly tax in and hoped to get a good salad for lunch. Two of the three restaurants in town were closed. I ended up at the third one that isn't much more than a burger shack. This morning we had dense fog. When I looked out the window all I could see is white. It's been raining this afternoon. The temperature has been in the 50's and 60's most of the day. Jacket weather. I guess it's that time of year and time to head south.

A beautiful day today after a very foggy start. I spent most of it outside sprucing up everything I could find that needed it. This evening my neighbor invited me to his place for a fish fry. I turned him down because I don't care for fish and thanked him for the invite. Then I invited my neighbor on the other side to go to Angel Fire with me for dinner at Zeb's. He accepted. All the restaurants in Eagle Nest have been closed the past two days. It's getting bad when all I can find to go to dinner with is a cowboy. When I got back home I was tired so I took a Steve and didn't wake up until midnight. Now I'm sitting here drinking tea hoping to get sleepy enough to go back to bed.

Made it to Estes park this morning. Got a nice camping spot at Elk Meadow campground with good tv, internet and phone. Nice day here today too, about 73 and partly sunny right now. Looking at a rocky mountain vista out the front window. They are having a big Scottish festival this weekend, and we came past the fairgrounds where it is being held on the way in. Big tents all over the place and it looks like there is a lot of fun to be had. Sister and BIL will be coming up tomorrow to stay in the bus with us Friday night so we can all got to the parade Saturday morning. Bag pipes all over the place. Woo! Hoo! Steve
