  1. At least there is a park across the road from Jajoba and the one at the casino in Temecula to fall back on OR the $5 boondocking spots at Jajoba. We are considering Jajoba mid February but I'm sure it will be thin pickins. May just come back here to Casa Grande and pick up where we left off. Happy Thanksgiving!!!
  2. I'm beginning to think you guys are rain magnets.
  3. Our plans at this point are to be in Q by the 17th and spend a few days with the "Outside our Bubble" group and then remain on Plomosa Rd until our 2 weeks runs out. After that we will probably move over to La Posa for a couple weeks or longer. Then who knows.
  4. Hey Joe, what the heck happened? One minute I look at the map and you have a bunch of people milling around up in your area and the next time I look everyine has scattered. Did ya eat a bunch of beans and have a Blazzing Saddles moment and un everyone off?
  5. Yup, all settled in for our 1st attempt at 3 months in one location after 4 years of being on the road. Being parked with Roger & Lynn will no doubt make it easier, well ask us in 3 months LOL!!! Just kidding Roger!! .
  6. Dang, you guys are covering some ground. To bad the weather was so bad this year on the Oregon coast and inland for you guys this year. It really is a nice place. I'm sure you will give it another shot.
  7. Yup, they say a good storm stretch is headed your way. It's normally not as wet in southern Oregon but when it decides to be wet,,,, well LOL!! To bad the weather wasn't on your side, there is some very pretty stuff in that area. The drive down the canyon along the river is a particularly great section for example. I think I know where you are camped, just turn right when you leave the campground and follow your nose.
  8. God luck with the Annual checkup!! We will see ya in a couple days.
  9. We wish you luck. We went through that last year with Diane's mom. It took a long series of events before she finally gave in.
  10. Diane is a native Portland person and I was a transplant but we both lived there and dealt with the rain for many years then moved to southern Oregon where it was much better but still wet. We don't miss it. The Bend area is one of our favorite areas but it will be getting snow soon. Diane says if we were to get off the road today we would (she would) like to call the Bend area (not in Bend, but surrounding area) our summer home.
  11. We have gone through 2 in almost 4 years. I would guess it all depends on how long it lays in direct sunlight and at what temps. We fulltime so it is out in the weather 24/7 most of the year except when boondocking of course. And we make a move every week or 2 most of the year so it gets expanded and retracted often.
  12. It's starting to cool off here at just under 9000' in Colorado. But the colors are great!! I think it's time to start a slow move south.
  13. We didn't know Lee as well as most but none the less he was often talked about between us and always will be I'm sure. I will never forget the night him & Diane were leaning back in chairs around a campfire in Q with Lee pointing out constellations with his lazer pointer. He gave Diane a book that night that she has refered to many times and now it will hold an even stronger meaning. RIP Lee.
  14. You will se some crazy,,,, I mean daring people at Horseshoe LOL!!
  15. You are correct Roger, we did visit Page and had a pretty good time. Here is a link to the blog update in case you are interested. https://daveanddiane.wordpress.com/2015/10/14/our-visit-to-page-arizona/
  16. Lets see,,, a 5th wheels bangs into you at a campground and now you get stuck just a week later. You better turn in a circle rubbing your belly and patting your head to change your luck a little.
  17. Well dang Steve,,, thats a real bummer. MAybe that guy will toss you some cranberry juice to help smooth things over.
  18. Well darn, hope Willie is well onto being mended b now.
  19. Yup always an adventure. We just had mail sent and had 2 recall notices. One said our rig may need a ECM update, ok no real big deal but the other said that when I release the throttle the sensor may not return to zero causing the engine brake not to engage,,, hmm,,, we will be traveling over Wolf Creek Pass in just a few days LOL!!! You know that will be on my mind. MAbe I will have Diane drive the pickup over instead of pulling it.
  20. LOL!!! EVERYTHING DONE LOL!!! Where do you come up with this stuff? Good one.
  21. School starting back up is music to our ears any more LOLl!! Is that bad to say, well I'm a baaaaad person. I'm sure you will love Gettysburg, I know we did. Travel safe.
