  1. Hey Roger,, maybe we should get together and rent a Pontoon boat at Lake Powell some summer. 3 or 4 couples could make a party of it!!
  2. We checked out the Havasu RV Resort, they have Casitas and what knot but just didn't have the activities it seemed. I'm not a big water person so the lake isn't a huge draw to me.
  3. We checked out Ajo while camping at Organ Pipe a coupe years ago and you are right, nice small town and the type of place we like to visit while in travel mode. But if we find a spot to sit for 4 months it will probably be in a little bigger town, 20,000 to 30,000 would be perfect but certainly under 100,000 people. And we will be looking for nice landscaping (some green would be nice) and a place with activities. Lets just say we don't need to stay in the nicest of parks while we are touring and love state parks BUT it we are going to sit for a few months, I (more than Diane) will be wanting plush surroundings. And the sites are going to need to be at least 40x80 or so, no close together camping during that time. And eventually having a casita type building that can maybe offer a nice bathroom and a sating area that can open up to the outside for and create a nice outdoor living area would be idea.
  4. We had pretty good weather while we were in Casa Grande last month and it hasn't been that bad here in Yuma other than a couple cool days early in the week and some breeze. But it's been in the 70's the last couple days and is supposed to be in the high 70's all next week but we will be moving on Monday. The only real reason we think about Mission Texas is because of the Ratema Village RV Park. After 3 years I think we are both thinking about a spot to sit still for a few months during the winter and both want a small Casita type thing with outdoor living and a little storage where we can we can spread out a little. And the prices at Retema seem to be more affordable than a couple spot like it in Arizona even though at this point Arizona is our top choice because well,,,, we are just west coast people I guess.
  5. Every time we talk to someone about southern Texas wind comes up as part of the conversation and it urns Diane off, she does not like the wind. I just had her convinced again to at least go check it out the Mission Texas area so I will not mention your comments to her LOL!!
  6. Yup, we moved today also after being on Casa Grande the month of November. We are now in Yuma for a week before we make our next move.
  7. I thought I was smart and put a bunch of the files I want to make sure were safe on scan cards only to find out that when my computer crashed I had to get a new one the files would not load into the new operating system some how. I keep all our pictures on those little scan memory cards or flash sticks and take pictures of screens that have things like all my contacts and web sites I like to visit. Not really a sophisticated way to do it but you do what you can I guess. Diane's laptop is I a terrible way now and she has wanted to just get a android tablet for the last few months and we probably need to do it sooner than later while we can still see her stuff on the tablet LOL!! They had one on a Black Friday deal and we could have saved $50 IF we wanted to shop on Black Friday but I REFUSE to do it, even for $50. I think we will get it from Amazon at our next stop and be done with it.
  8. HAPPY THANKSGIVING to you all from Casa Grande AZ !!! Hope to see a bunch of you in Q Jan. & Feb.
  9. Once you get to Lazy Days you will be able to hang around the rest of the season for free...... LOL FREE!!!!
  10. I have a tip for ya,,,,, get you ars over here to Arizona. You're a mid-west boy and Florida isn't a good fit LOL!!
  11. Sounds like between the 2 of us we did it in. I checked yesterday and I think I had the last 2 od 3 posts that were almost a year old LOL!!! And thanks Steve,,,, I think.
  12. We are so glad the Class-less class took us in. The 2012 class which we are (or should be) part of is so NON-active that it has been locked I assume due to being dead LOL!!!
  13. Growing up as a kid we had a hand pump in the kitchen and an outhouse. During the winter (in Iowa) out nigh time toilet was a 5 gallon bucket on the porch. I remember when we got a hydrant put in our kitchen and we thought we were up town. Now we live in a RV with 2bathrooms LOL!!! I don't complain much when I sit and think back when.
  14. We have nothing set in stone and will probably be near by at that time so I don't see why we couldn't roll in about that time. And I was always pretty darn good with that Operation Game. I hardly ever made the nose light up,,,,,, or was it because the bulb was burnt out,,,,, I can't remember now LOL!!!
  15. NO, they say no rigs over 40ft which leaves us out. We are at Palm Creek Golf & RV.
  16. We have made another move. We drove a whooping 60 miles yesterday from Gold Canyon to Casa Grande. Other than 2 times in Oregon and when we bought our rig we have pretty much moved every week for the 3 years we have been on the road but this will be our first attempt at hanging out in one spot for a month. We will be here until Dec. 1st.
  17. Looks like a great area. Have fun "slowing down".
  18. We simply showed interest in the RV Port homes and let a salesman give us a tour. I since have read that they offer 3 days pretty much off the get go for looking but because we already had a week reserved he gave us the entire week. We even paid a deposit because we didn't intend to stay free and he even had the deposit refunded. Can't beat that with a stick. Heck I know they would let Tina look and MAYBE EVEN YOU!!!
  19. We spent some time in Borrego Springs for the first time last winter and really enjoyed it. In fact we plan to revisit again this winter.
  20. Did I mention they compted us our weeks stay as well??!! Now THAT makes it a sweet deal.
  21. I looked at Diane and said, HEY,, after we do Q lets high tail it to Texas and see Roger &Lynn!! She said, we have time lets go LOL!!! Dang, open mouth and insert foot.
  22. I'll be curious to what you think about Mission Texas and the surrounding area. That's a spot we want to check out yet, maybe next winter. I'd like to check out the Retama Village I think it's called. We stopped in here to mainly check out the RV port type homes. It's something that Diane and I feel we will end up with when it's time to settle down in one spot for winters and when we feel like we want something that's "ours". Not here but someplace around the country and not in the near future. And good luck with the Aqua Hot repair.
  23. We are all settled in here at Gold Canyon for a week. Pulled in Sunday and then Monday morning we rolled to the service center and had our entry steps that broke a couple months back replaced. Then back and set un again in time for the free (Beer and wine supplied along with live music and popcorn ) Happy Hour. Tonight we will be having our complimentary Pork chop Dinner. Life is good.
  24. Oh now Lee, those darn drones get a bad rap. They are no more dangerous than that laser pointer you carry around to point out consolations in the sky. In the wrong hands they are both bad things but in the right hands they are a lot of fun and great tools. Or maybe every time we see a laser pointer we should go back to the good old western days and shoot them out of the hands of the user LOL!!!! I’m just funning but I happen to be a drone (toy) owner that hates the fact that a few ruin it for the many.
