  1. Yup, it was great seeing you guys again, it had been close to 2 years since we saw you last. Looking forward to seeing you in Arizona !!
  2. Oh boy, the Potlucks in Q should be very interesting this year LOL!!!
  3. That sounds perfect!!! Lets make it happen.
  4. After leaving La Pine Oregon we made our way to just outside of John Day Oregon and spent a couple nights before moving to Caldwell Idaho. We will hang out here for a week. Went to a ski compitition yesterday and hit a train Depot Museum in Nampa today along with a Farmers Market and a few other things. Plan to hit the Green Belt bike path probably Monday in Boise and whatever else we can muster up while here before making another move next Thursday. The plan at this point is head to American Falls for a few nights and check out Pocatillo from there.
  5. I hope that works out for ya Steve,,,, the crepe mix thing I mean. That just might come in handy some time.
  6. Truck is doing great, thanks. Hooked up to it and hauled it from Grants Pass to La Pine Oregon and it did great. Probably easier to get ready to tow than the Jeep if you can believe that. Was thinking about leaving here tomorrow but it might rain so we may hang around another day. Then might stop in Burns for a night OR do the unusual thing for us and travel a tad over 300 miles to Caldwell Idaho and hang out a couple days before moving that way. 300 miles of 2 lane roads may be a bit much for me in one day LOL!! We stayed in Park City the last time we were in the area, never stopped in Provo.
  7. You guys will probably be moved by the time we get to that area. It will probably be at least a week or so before we get there.
  8. Question for you that knw Colorado. We were thinking about going to Salt Lake City Utah and heading east into Wyoming to Laramie and then down through Fort Collins and south through Denver and then over to Durango. Or would we be better off going from Salt Lake to Moab and on to Monticello and over into Colorado on 491 to Cortez and hwy 160 to Durango? Even if we went the southern route we would spend a month covering the state anyway but maybe a bunch of it doing driving tours.
  9. We will be lifting our jacks in the morning and headed to the Bend area for a couple days, then over to Colorado some how. Of course I'm just the "driver" as Roger would say so maybe Diane will tell me which way to go.
  10. Dang!! Lets hope you hit that sweet spot of 80 today.
  11. Jeff, as far as that hot weather goes I know the misconseption I might have about Colorado being a cooler place to be in the summers will be something I will need to get a grasp on reality with.
  12. LOL, we have ridded motorcycles through Colorado and experienced some crazy weather, changed gear more than once throughout some days. Really looking forward to seeing and experiencing it in the RV. I will certainly put some pictures on the blog Jeff. In fact I've been working on a new update that should be up within a couple days.
  13. Our Oregon stay is about over, just a couple more things to do to the new pickup and we will start a slow crawl towards Colorado. I guess because we are only maybe 3 days away from leaving I better start looking at a route LOL!! And maybe a few options for places to stay when we move around Colorado. Choices choices, drop in from the north, slip in the middle from the west, swoop up from southwest. Maybe I better let Diane look at the map and tell me. No matter which way we go it will be warm.
  14. Dang Lee, you are having it tough right now and you are STILL traveling more than some of us, showoff LOL!! Hope things go well and you get settled into a spot you love.
  15. You better rest up!! Those long travel days are a killer.
  16. Well damn Lee, sorry to hear things are rough right now. Hope things turn around for you soon.
  17. We went with the Ruby Red so it pretty much matches the coach and went with the 2.7L Eco-boost. I drove all the engine options and for what we will use it for the 2.7 is perfect. Well perfect except I did like the 3.5 but didn't like the MPG difference. Actually I think I saw some time trial drags and the 2.7 was ding pretty darn good LOL!! Certainly is peppy. If I would have popped for the 3.5 we could have gotten a few more gadgets but not many and wasn't worth it to us. Once it gets here we need to have the bed-liner sprayed in and put the baseplate and brakes system in before rolling on. We will go tour some of the coast and Washington while we are waiting for it to show up.
  18. I put a kink in our plans a little yesterday. I mentioned before that we were waiting on a Ram truck to hit the ground at a dealer a couple hundred miles away so we could have it transfered to us in southern Oregon. I also might have mentioned that I was worried it might slow us down by waiting and getting it done up to tow behind the motorhome. Soooo what did I do? I stopped in at a Ford dealer and we ended up ordering a Ford from the factory that will take between 6 & 8 weeks to get!!!! How is that for speeding thing sup LOL!!!! I might have also mentioned that I have always been a Ford guy but for some reason the Ram with the small diesel and 27mpg highway and 18mpg city 22mpg combined caught me interest. But after really looking at numbers and taking into consideration that most of our driving is slow countryside or in town driving with really little highway the numbers we would most likely REALLY see would be pretty close between the two. The other reason for $$$, the Ford is normally much higher but by ordering one and putting on it what WE wanted and working hard on the numbers, driving away, getting a call, working harder on the numbers we got right down to where $$$ were close enough to call a wash and the real Ford guy came out and we signed papers LOL!! As fulltimers we always say plans are made in Jell-o so instead of starting a slow move towards Colorado on July 5th we will hang around Oregon / Washington until the truck shows up hopefully between the 18th & 25th of July, get it fitted to tow behind the motorhome and make a faster run to Colorado to make out reservation dates on the 14th of August outside of Durango where we hope to see Roger & Lynn and Diane & Tom. We hope the truck comes in sooner to take away the rush but if it comes in later we will just need to change our "plans". We have been looking at and toying with the idea of getting a truck since we got here a month ago but one of my faults is that I shop stuff to death which takes time. If I would have just done this when we first got here the truck would almost be here and it would be a none topic LOL!! Diane is a trooper for putting up with me at times.
  19. I don't know about you & Roger but I was thinking I could fit a couple extra planes in the back of a crew cab.
  20. I saw that "MIGHT" in there so I will just let you think about it a while.
  21. No locking steering wheel, just push a button to place transfer case in N, put the gear selector "knob" in park and drive. Actually easier than the jeep. And you are right Roger about the room, that's part of the reason for the change. We might actually stay longer in one spot this coming year and expand our touring circle and see how that works. I really like the size o the rear area of a crew cab but then I also want to keep the length down a little for those tighter parking situations and there's just 2 of us anyway.
  22. LOL,, it's just the Quad cab and not the comfortable Crew Can setup so don't eat to much. It's sort of like the chairs I used to have in my office, they provided a place to sit but not comfortable enough for people to stay long LOL!! The seat in the back of the Jeep has only been used about 3 times in the 3 1/2 years we have been on the road and has mainly been down for storage. I bet the truck will be about the same unless I find some sort of bet cover we like.
  23. Well first off no money has exchanged hands but if the truck arrives when promised we will move forward with the deal. It will be a Ram Laramie 1500 quad cab and a Ecodiesel engine loaded up with all the creature comforts. We just don't wheel the jeep like we used to so figured pampering ourselves with things like leather heated & cooled seats and room enough in the back for maybe a new toy was in order. The Ecodiesel and it's 27mpg highway rating sounded pretty good as well.
  24. I bet you were happy to have the need for the furnace again. My hands are not broken but we are still sitting in Grants Pass so not a bunch worth writing about. I think all of the Dr. and other appointments are all wrapped up, we have seem about all our friends and have been out to eat more times that I can count and I might have already mentioned that I sold the Gold Wing trike I had in storage. We were scheduled to leave here on the 1st but for some reason we are waiting for a new truck to be delivered so we have extended our stay until the 23rd of June, IF this truck dal works out we need to hang around long enough to get it tow ready and we will put the Jeep in the storage unit for a while and pull a plush riding pickup.
