  1. I know how all that stuff worked because my Grandpa told me. Right? Linda
  2. Happy birthday, Carol. Pretty big present you gave yourself--another whole country. Linda Sand
  3. OK. He's working on it now. Try again later. Linda
  4. No pontoons because we didn't drive on any of the flooded roads. But we did make good use of my RV's systems. Details on my blog if you are interested. Linda
  5. Happy birthday, Lee. We go out for steak to celebrate. But, I don't drink cranberry juice so that's my excuse to substitute a good steak dinner instead. Not that we need an excuse, of course. Linda Sand
  6. Do go to the circus museum in Baraboo--best fun in the Dells area. Linda
  7. You need to move her away from those tennis courts for a bit. I still think you should travel between now and the wedding. Linda
  8. Good thing you have that aqua hot. I don't know about mixing the whisky and cranberry juice, though. Has Carol been doing the cortisone shots yet? They sure helped me postpone my knee replacements. Glad to hear you can eat again. Want to be able to do that when this group gets together. Linda
  9. I will probably rotate between Parker and Quartzsite most of this winter but could come down to sidewinder if that's where the group decides to meet. Just don't do it during the RV show, please, as we'd lose too many people to it, I think. Some of us have multiple groups meeting there then already. I also agree with IYQ that we'd lose potential new members of the Classless Class if we don't go to Q during the show. I know it made it easier for us to go there the first year knowing we'd meet like-minded people there. Of course we don't all have to go to Q for some of us to go but it is nice to have a fairly good-sized group to welcome any newcomers. Another thought I had is I can't park my rig at places like Da' Boyz like I can at most eateries in Q so I'd be more dependent on you guys if we go to sidewinder then out to eat. Linda
  10. Dave does our laundry when we are together. Glad you averted the disaster. I've been told if you wash it with vinegar in the water it will stop bleeding. Might want to try that. Linda
  11. Now we have Steve kisses?! Does Carol know about that?
  12. Heck, Steve, that wedding is two weeks away. Go somewhere else then come back for it. Maybe the Texas Gulf in the meantime? Linda
  13. I was 10 years old on our very first camping trip. It rained all weekend. We had such a good time my parents and the parents of another family that went with us bought the trailers we had rented that weekend. Us kids also played in the creek much of the weekend--no worries about us getting any more wet. We had one of those warm weather downpours this afternoon and I had the urge to go out in it. Figured it would stop by the time I got dressed and out there, though, which turned out to be true--it was a short but pretty shower so I settled for watching it from our balcony. Linda Sand
  14. We enjoyed the Blue Ridge Parkway as well. I think all the rain and storms everywhere are getting a lot of us down. Ready for summer now. Linda Sand
  15. Tea, huh? What kind of tea? The kind, like cranberry juice, that Joe & Steve like? Linda
  16. Or Tuesday. Monday is Memorial Day. I think. Linda Sand
  17. We got two tornado watches yesterday but no warnings. Some heavy rain here but that's all. Sure glad to not be a Fire Lake anymore. Linda Sand
  18. I would turn off the radio and use my own GPS. When you drive out of town are you going to get static between driving directions?!!! Linda
  19. LOL!!! Be sure to buckle it in. And don't open any before reaching your destination. Linda
  20. If you rent a vehicle from Enterprise they will bring it to the campground for you then you give them a ride back to the office. Not sure they have trucks but they do have vans. Which would give you a place to keep your tools while waiting for resolution. So glad you still have your home; hope the hitch is OK. And I'll bet you have a few aches and pains now you didn't before if only from muscle tension. You need to find a cowgirl to come give you a massage.
  21. Is there a honey wagon service where you are? That worked for us when we got flooded out of the full hookup part of a park. If you do drive to the dump be sure you drive far enough to give your engine a good workout. I've been told very short drives are not good. Linda
  22. Well, it's sn*wing in Mpls here again today. It's MAY people! I have never seen snow up here in May. That global climate change may be real. But, it may be it just shifted time. Dave says they always used to go ice skating the day after Thanksgiving and we haven't been able to do that in years. Except for the year we had the Halloween blizzard. At least it's not supposed to get cold enough to freeze my tanks as my RV sits out in the parking lot here. Linda
  23. I am home--in Minnesota--and we are having 70s. Yay! Unfortunately, there is still a little s**w on the ground and they say we may get more this week. What month is this?!!! Linda
  24. I am home! In the top part of Tornado Alley but managed to drive up it without getting hit by any hail even. Only because I went to the wrong casino. Linda Sand
