  1. SD registration info; https://americasmailbox.com/tips_and_tricks/27/Vehicle-Registration You're going to have to search for the HDT to RV info. I no longer have the link. There are 7 (or so) items your HDT must have to be considered an RV in SD. Whether you can get the title changed long distance, I don't know. Maybe use a keyword search on the HDT forum for it. There may be one or two forum members who claim it can't be done anymore. That is not correct. Unless SD stopped doing it within the last 12 months.
  2. Not worth doing if you're going to change domicile to SD. Plus, there is an annual fee to keep the MT LLC.
  3. With that said, you should also consider South Dakota. Before you make a final decision, shop for vehicle insurance in each state. SD has a lower sales tax, in case you decide to buy a new vehicle. You may find the sales tax savings is enough to cover the first year (or more) of vehicle insurance. The only drawback to SD is you have to physically go there for a driver's license. But, you do NOT have to go there for vehicle registration or to set up your mail forwarding.
  4. IMO, you will be MUCH better off if you RV for SEVERAL MONTHS before you decide to get a pup. That way you will have an idea of how often you take day trips, how long you typically stay out on those trips, how the coach's temperature feels when you get back, etc. It will also offer you the opportunity to talk face to face RVing dog owners. A young Boxer needs opportunities to burn off energy. Not all RV parks are set up to make that easy.
  5. The Crestview Fl mail forwarding company IS a physical address.
  6. Meh. All I know is the "crummy" signal levels were strong enough to not lose picture during the rain this a.m. Works for me!!
  7. If you're asking me, no, not anymore. I left there 4 days ago after being back for about 2 months. Currently in NOLA for a few days before heading to the Lake Charles area for 4 months.
  8. Only when it rains!! Then again, I also got rain fade in my S&B with a professional installation.
  9. 72 is a 33 and 77 is a 16. The best part is the tv picture and audio are still great. My Super Buddy originally had the 61 at about 50. To dial in 72 and still get 61, I had to settle for 35ish on both. That is the signal strength on the Super Buddy. Never had it correlate exactly with the signal strength shown on the tv, regardless of satellite arc. This far southeast I had great difficulty getting 119 on the WA. That is usually the sat the locals are beamed from.
  10. On my Hopper's signal strength screen, it shows I have a Hybrid Triple WA Switch. IDK, but it works. If anyone cares to tell me how to save pics at a small enough size, I can load pics I took in the past 5 min of the dish, LNB, and signal strength screen.
  11. I have the small dish on a tripod. The small dish is the 1000.2, right? It's been 3+ yrs since I've cared, so I have forgotten what I have since it works everywhere I set up. Hybrid triple LNB, maybe? I don't remember. Regardless, it is the same LNB I've used everywhere I stopped between Fla and MT, and back. Now working our way to western LA, then western CO. The double LNB for the EA is sitting in a box. Changing them is more of a PITA than it is worth, to me.
  12. No, I don't. This is the same LNB I used for 5 months in western Montana where I was getting 110, 119, and 129.
  13. That is a VERY GOOD question, and I have NO IDEA. But, my WA LNB is installed and when I hit the ID soft key on my Super Buddy it identifies 61 on one LNB and 72 on another. When I hit the "Test Installation" on my Hopper, I also get 61, 72, and 77.
  14. I do NOT have a Dish Outdoor account. Never have. And never had a problem with them changing my service address. There have been times the customer service person tells me I can change the locals myself. Then I tell them the setup I have and they stop telling me I can change it myself.
  15. IMO, the easiest solution is to go to a local Dish installer, tell them what you want, and get it installed. That is what I did 3 years ago and couldn't be happier. I have a Hopper 3 with 1 wireless Joey, a 1000.2 with a DPH and currently have a WA triple LNB installed. I am receiving EA sats 61 and 72. I enjoy NOT having to change LNBs. My billing address is still the S&B I moved out of 8 months ago. For whatever reason, Dish wouldn't accept my new Crestview address. No matter, the bill gets paid by my cc every month, and the cc is at my Crestview address. As for changing locals, here is my script, copied from Mark Bruss' script. I use the Dish "Chat" feature. I am an RVer. I have just moved to a new location. Please update the Service Address (only) to (the street address and site number for whatever RV park you are in), and have the local channels changed to that location. Please leave the Billing Address as it is.
  16. Go to You Tube. Type in the name of the 2 products, one at a time. If there are any examples of the products being used, it will give you an idea how to do it. Or how not to do it.
  17. IIRC, you should be able to hear the fridge's propane/see the blue flame for propane outside your coach. I remember being able to hear it ignite from inside my coach. This is also something you want a professional to look at. Messing with propane is not a DIY job.
  18. IMO, since the coach comes with the 2 air cons, it is designed to run both at the same time. If it does not come with, or have a convection micro as a factory option, it is not designed for one. Meaning it is not designed to run both airs and a convection micro at the same time. You might be able to run one air with the micro, but possibly not both airs and the micro. As for towing up hills, it depends on how steep the hills and how heavy the toad. Of course, you should also check how it will handle going down the other side.
  19. IIRC, Splendide recommends doing it monthly.
  20. Have you done the 3-cycle wash procedure to help clear out lint? IIRC, Splendide recommends doing it monthly. You can call customer service and speak with a technician. They will email you the procedure.
  21. Saw a 5er going down the road with one of these. Curious to know if anyone here has one and how it is working out for you. https://buggbanner.com/
  22. Since your Aussie could be gone in a flash after a rabbit, you may be better off with 3 or 4 sections of X-Pen. Yes, it takes up space. I had 3 sections, but paired down to 2 after one of my dogs died, since 2 is enough for him. My current dog is in the pen only long enough to potty and never alone. To answer your specific question, once your dog is used to the invisible fence, there is no reason it shouldn't work. You just have to setup the markers at each new location.
