When you finally commit I am a strong proponent of check lists, hung up all over the place. We go through the checklist every time we move, whether we think we did it all or not. Also, when you get interrupted doing your checklist(and you will) start over again. Don't think you did something, confirm you did something.

I don't understand why the storage would be less?

x2 on headroom. When we walked into our first MH that was what we noticed. Low ceilings and the MH ceilings are not as low as a 5th wheel front. We loved the 5th because of the headroom and the ceiling fan. Made a big difference. Agree about the heating/cooling.

The answer is it depends. If you have a back in space if there is a view it will be out back. Also, the LR in the back have windows on the back(huge) and at least 1 side, most likely 2. With the LR in the front, you will be facing the rest of the campground and have windows on the side, none on the front. The number of times you end up in a cg with a view is probably minimal unless you work at it. To have any sort of a view you would probably need to be on the outside perimeter of the cg, probably backed in. Most people sit outside and enjoy the view. There are exceptions to all this of course.

We loved our New Horizons but I wouldn't buy one as a first RV. Experience goes a long way in determining what one wants in an RV. Your lifestyle changes over the years as do your physical needs. We "never" wanted a MH, loved 5th wheels. As we have aged and with some physical problems we have moved to the dark side and bought a MH. We have now adapted to a MH and the changes we had to make to adapt. We are very comfortable with the MH now, rough going for a year or two but we had trailers and 5th wheels for 35-40 years. Our first trailer was used after that we have always bought new and have never regretted it. Every RV we bought has been fine, never had to go back to a dealer for any repairs. Yes, there are lemons as there are in cars and anything else you buy, yes the dealers and mfg. could do a much better job with customer service. There are many happy RV owners who never post on any of these forums.

We used the fabric Lazy Boy and no wear after 10 years. We have cats so leather-like isn't an option.

We put Lazy Boy in our RV and have been very happy. Put in inexpensive recliners and they are still fine after 10 years.

I didn't know Montana was part of Keystone, good brand in the past. We haven't looked at 5th wheels for 12 years so I am not keeping up.

Plenty of people fulltime in all types of RVs. Most are not warranted for fulltime, whatever that means in the world of warranties. The warranties aren't lifetime, only a year or two(very few), most of the components are warranted by the component mfg, not the trailer mfg. Example: oven doesn't work, contact Magic Chef, not Keystone. Sometimes the trailer mfg. comes through, many times not. If you have a questions on the quality go over to the IRV2 forum on Keystone and see what people are saying. Remember all the complaints show up onlinie, very few comments from people who are happy with their choice. We traveled for 12 years and 8 years with our two non-warranted fulltime 5th wheels, never had a problem with either that we didn't cause.

Setting up is getting simpler now. All you do is push buttons so I don't any problem in going night-to-night. You never mentioned what your tow vehicle is. You need to look at the weights also to make sure you have sufficient "storage" weight available. If the salesman said you could tow it with your truck, take a large grain of salt with that statement. You can tow it but can you stop it???? Give us a little more information and we will help you along.

Have you looked into domicile and medical insurance, set up a mail service yet? Lots to do when considering full time.

If at a show see if they will bring in the slide behind the seat for you.

Make sure you keep a list of the mfg and the specific model number you try on!!!!

Why don't you go to an RV Show and try a bunch of them out? Each model can be different in the space they have so you can't just look at a particular mfg.

Maybe one without a slide behind the driver would allow you to move the seat further back.

Less clothes..........We are full time and just use what we have in our closet. We travel in cold weather or hot weather, just keep layering. Carry a goose down coat in a stuff sack if needed.Have used several times and goes right back into stuff sack.

We keep a hoard of cash in our safe for when we need cash. I do find I write more checks when traveling than when stationary. We do that to save our cash hoard. But no one has ever questioned the address on the checks either and it is from 3 addresses ago.

I haven't been to a bank or branch for 30-40 years and I have switched banks and brokerages. Everything is done electronically. Loans, mortgages, new account, transfers, deposits, withdrawals(ATM) etc. I don't think anyone even looks at the address on a check and how many checks does one write?? 2-3 a year, maybe.

We were in TX but we did register a car that was out of state so I don't see any problem but call Polk County and verify.

We don't use Dakota but what about refunds of deposits and other payments made??? This entire closing seems suspicious: sudden, no notification to customers, status of monies in account.

Isn't there some legal USPS requirement that mail must be accepted(or whatever) for 6 months. They need to ease out to give everyone time to move to another service.

You could always go to the Escapees Service, they support SD now.

I am surprised we are just hearing of this. They must have sent out emails to all their customers to notify them so another service could be found.
