Sorry - what trucks? I believe the article is about it charging its own (the travel trailer the topic is about) battery bank to assist the tow vehicle with its own motor driving its own wheels to minimize the effects on the electric tow vehicle's battery pack.

My Ram Diesel 1 Ton dually I towed with got ~20-22 mpg with no load. Pulling a lightweight 36 foot fiver the mileage dropped to 10-11. If that trailer was available today at a price I wanted to afford, it would get 300 miles at 20-22mpg while the trailer was moving itself, and then if I needed to keep going pulling all of the trailer weight I could drive until I needed to fill the diesel up.

Since the TT travels pulling its own weight or whatever large percentage it does, for about 300 m iles, it opens up the possibility for a 250 mile range Ford Lightning to travel 250 miles theoretically. Without the trailer's motive force the Lightning would only pull it ~125 miles. YMMV.

They have a prototype and may never come to market.

That was to Lappir post about getting a used Telsa truck

I commend you for sticking to the project! I've reached the age where I tend to pay someone else to do big jobs but I do miss the feeling of satisfaction you get from do it yourself jobs.

That in itself is nearly impossible. Getting a residential fridge put in by someone. Home Depot will install in a house but not rv.

  3. Yes it is. Reason I was so tired the fridge came in Friday and pouring rain. Park owner let me store it in his building. Only problem building good ways from my camper. So I put it on a cart and carted to my camper. That was a job in itself. Got a fellow camper help me get it in camper. Had to trim some upper trim wood for clearance. Couple of upright 2X4 in back for stops. Had to move them back a little. Only item left as fridge is on a slide out can see bottom of fridge. So I had a piece of trim on the old unit. Going to modify it today and nail in.

  4. What you stated may be correct though. The entire time we have been in our Teton the toilet burbs when tank full or near full. Had to say which since sensors don't work. A new roof was installed by previous owner and dealership just cut all vents off at surface. Our black tank vent was below the roof and venting in the attic space. I lengthened it to get up above. We got an oder until I did that.

  5. Will know in a few days. emptied tank this morning. As tank filled smell got worse. Right now no smell. Seal I removed was just a dougnut. This one I replaced it with has a bottom flange with a rubber seal inside for toilet.

Danco, which you can get at Lowes, has a rubber/wax combo ring which is specifically designed to keep a seal even with some floor or toilet movement. I used one in our last RV and it worked really well.

How much did it raise the toilet up?
