  1. I suspect that the video channel is no different than starting any other business, you have to work hard for long hours to make it successful.
  2. That it was but it was emergency surgery or put him down. Left as he was would have been a very painful death over a few days.
  3. It used to be a hot topic on these forums just to define exactly what being a fulltimer is. We had one or two active members who stated that they were part-time fulltimers and a lot of disagreement on exactly what the term means. That issue seems to loom all too quickly for most of us. It has become a major planning factor at out house. I used to advise my parents to spend some of their savings and do things together while they are both living and able. Now we seem to have reached that same point in life and so we are trying to follow the advice I gave to my parents.
  4. That was posted a year ago, so I did a little research and found only 2 recent articles that are related. Magic mushrooms can treat medication-resistant depression. Are they safe? April 23, 2024 by Leigh Hataway Psilocybin found in magic mushrooms shows promise as a treatment for depression By Tony Hicks on May 3, 2024 — Fact checked by Jennifer Chesak, MSJ Editor’s note: Expression of concern On May 4, 2024, The BMJ attached an “expression of concern” notice to the study covered in this article, “Efficacy of psilocybin for treating symptoms of depression: systematic review and meta-analysis.” The expression of concern is related to an alleged calculation error in the study analysis. The study authors and journal editors are currently investigating this issue.
  5. That sounds like you retired from the military? That was my original plan but life got in the way and so I left after 8 years but was fortunate to have then worked for a company that had an early retirement with full benefits that I qualified for at 57. We didn't take any paid jobs on the road but did receive a small stipend at 3 of our stops. We started out as RV volunteers in order to save money on RV sites, but we quickly discovered that we loved the RV volunteer lifestyle and so we continued doing that even after getting SS made it so that we didn't need to pinch pennies so much. Oh how I envy you! As I look back, I suppose that we were fortunate to have traveled for as long as we did since Pam had some health issues before we retired. We probably could have pushed thing out a couple of years more but doctor visits had become the key factor in our travel plans. We did manage to get out and make 3 more RV volunteer experiences when things improved but that was it. We still manage to travel a little by car or cruise ship but I sure miss the fulltime lifestyle!
  6. The short answer is no. In order to register and license an RV you must have a permanent mailing address in the state. In addition, the laws of Indiana require that any vehicle which is kept and used in the state must be registered in Indiana.
  7. It is an interesting comparison. Those are both 2023 models. Even the 1990 E-250 3M Co. cargo van that I drove did have the steering wheel behind the front axel.
  8. For towing a travel trailer you want van with rear wheel drive.

  10. We were full time in a motorhome with the F53/V10 for 12 years and owned it for 14 years. When we sold it the mileage was 88k and the buyer sent an email to update us after he had it for 3 more years and at 101k miles and he was still happy with it. But 38k in 17 years is very low so I'd suspect that it has sat unused for an extended period. It very likely still has the original tires so they probably need to be replaced. It might be a real prize but unless you are a motorhome expert, you should have it professionally inspected before you put any money down.
  11. For me, it has always been a red letter event when I would complete any significant repair ater only 1 trip to Lowe's or Home Depot! That seemed to hold true for most RV repairs as well.
  12. Yup, rodger, gotcha, okey-dokey,
