dgezy
I need to change from Dish Western arc to Eastern arc because of line of sight problems with the 129 sat. I am going to change to a 1000.2-- 2 lnb eastern arc dish from a 1000.2-- 3 lnb western arc dish. I have the print outs giving all aiming coordinates for the different zip codes of western arc but I can't find the comparable printout for the 2 lnb eastern arc sats. Also when setting up western I located the 119 sat first then minor adjustments for the other two. Now with only 2 sats which one gets peaked first? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Dave
Zulu
Try the 1000.4 EA Settings & I believe you peak on 72.7. SKP #79313 / Full-Timing / 2001 National RV Sea View / 2008 Jeep Wrangler Rubiconwww.rvSeniorMoments.comDISH TV for RVs
Mark and Dale Bruss
Depending where you are, you can switch from WA to EA but you might lose Locals in HD. Dutch_12078
Or you could lose the locals completely. The Roanoke, VA market area is one example of that. For the most accurate settings, I prefer to use the multi-LNB Dish 1000.4 (EA) or 1000.2 (WA) listings at DishPointer.com. dgezy
Zulu, Thanks, I will try setting the dish to 72.7. Mark and Dutch, We live in the Cleveland Ohio market and I am pretty sure the HD locals are simulcast on both 129 and 61.5. Appreciate the help Dave
Dutch_12078
Yep, you're good to go in the Cleveland market, Dave. HD locals on 129 and 61.5, SD locals on 110 and 61.5. http://www.satelliteguys.us/thelist/index.php?search=dnall⊂=true&market=Cleveland,%20OH Dutch 2001 GBM Landau 34' Class A F-53 Chassis, Triton V10, TST TPMS 2011 Toyota RAV4 4WD/Remco pump ReadyBrute Elite tow bar/brake system
mrschwarz
Aren't there two different dishes or LNBs for EA and WA. Michael 2017 Allegro Bus 45OPP Cummins ISL 450 Visit us at schwarz.org!
Zulu
Aren't there two different dishes or LNBs for EA and WA. Yes and Yes. The 1000.2 dish ships as a Western Arc (sats 110, 119, 129) dish, but can be modified to an Eastern Arc (sats 61.5 and 72) dish. The 1000.4 dish ships as an Eastern Arc (sats 61.5, 72, and 77) dish, but can be modified to a Western Arc (sats 110, 119, 129) dish. dgezy
Hello, All said and done I decided to buy a 1000.4EA, 3lnb setup. So I have a couple more questions I didn't realize before that I have. Which two ports do the two coax attach to on the lnb head? Does it matter which cable attaches to #1 and #2 connectors ports on the solo node? Thanks Again Dave
Dutch_12078
Ports 1 & 2 are fine, Dave. Actually any two of the first three ports will work in any order. The fourth port is an input, so of course that one won't work. Does it matter which cable attaches to #1 and #2 connectors ports on the solo node? It doesn't matter for the Solo node, but when you're aligning the dish you should peak on sat 72.7 as some sat meters can't "cycle" through all 3 sats by just connecting to a single port. So mark the 72.7 coax in case you need it for peaking: SKP #79313 / Full-Timing / 2001 National RV Sea View / 2008 Jeep Wrangler Rubiconwww.rvSeniorMoments.comDISH TV for RVs
bja1234
Folks, we have a western arc dish that works great. We are going to be spending a couple months in Harrington Maine. If I use the western arc dish, what will I keep and what will I lose? Thanks
Mark and Dale Bruss
You may have a problem getting satellite 129 depending on the horizon clutter (trees). If you are into Locals, many of the East Coast Locals are HD on the EA and SD on the WA. So you should get the Locals in SD.
