lappir
I've carried my Mom's computer around since her passing. Last summer I was able to hook it up at my brothers business on the LAN and used it for a few things with a couple event's I manage. Got it back out a couple days ago and visited a local computer shop to have a WIFI doodad installed, they sent me to one of the big box stores with a parts list and I'm able to use it now. I got a Display Port to HDMI cord and have hooked it up to my TV. The picture is really good, but I have to guess where the X is in the top right hand to close a page and the location of the "Windows Icon" to shut it down or restart. It's doable, but I'd prefer to being able to see the entire page. Anyone got any suggestions? I've tried clicking around trying to shrink it, but nothing is working so far for me. Ray,IN
Most "modern" TV's have in the settings a way to center the picture on the screen; likewise you can off-set the screen intentionally to reveal the X. TV's also have different mode settings, normal, zoom, etc Make sure your TV is set on normal/standard, or whatever is the smaller screen. I know when I have our TV set on partial zoom or zoom parts of the picture are missing. Quote 2000 Winnebago Ultimate Freedom USQ40JD, ISC 8.3 Cummins 350, Spartan MM Chassis. lappir
Thanks Ray. For some reason when I turned it on this morning all was fixed. I did leave the computer on last night, but turned off the TV. Now I have to remount the TV because I'm spoiled from the size of the screen already and the tiny desk top has been yet turned on. My neck is feeling it though. Ray,IN
Hummm; I too have found if I mess up and push the wrong button of the remote, If I unplug the TV then plug in again, it resets what I did wrong sometimes. I hate it when electronics are smarter than me. Quote 2000 Winnebago Ultimate Freedom USQ40JD, ISC 8.3 Cummins 350, Spartan MM Chassis. USA IN 1SG retired;Good Sam Life member,FMCA ."
