crstrm
SD is our domicile. We just renewed our vehicle registration. We have learned that SD is issuing new license plates for non-commercial vehicles when you renew. This reissue started in January 2023 but we weren't aware of it...so I thought I would pass on this information. link with more specific info: https://dor.sd.gov/newsroom/south-dakota-to-begin-license-plate-reissue-january-2023/ Quote 2016 Leisure Travel Van Serenity S24CB
Danfreda1
Got ours in May. Old plates were barely 2 years old. Saved old ones for future projects

57becky
They issue new plates every five years. We've had two different plates so far, and will get our third different plates, too, when we do our registration this year. I just got the plates logged into my memory and here we go again, having to remember new ones.😉

I didn't notice much changes in mine. Still had to put a sticker on the new Plate. kb0zke
We bought our Reflection TT in February, so we got the new plates then. We planned our route from Wyoming to Missouri to go through Sioux Falls so we could get the new plates for the truck ourselves. Came home with new plates and stickers for the truck and a new sticker for the trailer. The only hitch was that they wouldn't accept our check. It had our legal Sioux Falls address on it, but since it is a PMB they wouldn't take it. We had to use a CC and pay the extra fee.
